People forget a simple truth, we’re not above nature we’re a part of it, same as every gum tree, every snake, every roo. When you choose to live in the bush, you’re choosing to share space with creatures that were here long before houses, fences, or weekend plans.
Native animals aren’t “misbehaving.” They’re not being pests. They’re just being animals, doing exactly what they’ve done for thousands of years hunting, nesting, sunning themselves, defending territory, following instincts older than our entire civilisation.
If someone can’t handle that, can’t cope with a goanna on the fence or a possum thumping on the roof, or a snake crossing a track like it owns the place.... then maybe the bush isn’t for them. There’s no point whinging about wildlife simply existing.
Nature doesn’t bend around human comfort.It doesn’t apologise.It doesn’t negotiate.
If you want a world where everything is predictable, sanitised, and neatly boxed away, then go live in the city where the wild has been pushed out and paved over. Out here, the land is alive, and you’re just one more creature walking through it.
