🐾💚 HAPPY VETERINARY NURSES DAY! 💚🐾
Behind every great vet is an extraordinary team of veterinary nurses… and at Angle Park Veterinary Clinic, we are lucky enough to have quite the crew! 🐶🐱❤️
Veterinary nursing is SO much more than cuddling puppies and kittens (although let's be honest, that's definitely one of the perks! 😉).
Our nurses are the ones monitoring critically ill patients, providing intensive nursing care, administering lifesaving treatments, assisting in surgery, managing anaesthetics, recognising when a patient is deteriorating and responding when every second counts.
They are quite literally helping to keep animals alive. ❤️
They're the ones performing CPR, caring for patients through the night, managing complex hospital cases, comforting frightened animals, supporting worried owners and juggling a million things at once — often without even getting a chance to finish their coffee! ☕😂
They are the eyes and ears of our veterinarians, often noticing those subtle changes in a patient's condition that can make all the difference.
And somewhere amongst all of that, they're cleaning kennels, answering phones, preparing medications, assisting with emergencies, completing clinical records and making sure our hospital keeps running.
Veterinary nurses aren't just an important part of a veterinary clinic — they are absolutely essential to it. 💚
Of course, the job isn't always glamorous. There are sleepless nights, heartbreaking cases, difficult decisions, plenty of bodily fluids and some smells that no amount of disinfectant can erase! 🤢🤣
But there are also lives saved, patients recovering against the odds, wagging tails, happy reunions and those incredible moments that remind us why we do what we do.

With APVC now staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our team is there around the clock, caring for patients when they need it most.
To our nurses — never underestimate the importance of what you do.
Your knowledge, clinical skills, compassion, dedication and ability to keep everything together when absolute chaos erupts are what make you so valuable.
You don't just assist the vets. You advocate for your patients, make critical observations, provide lifesaving care and are an integral part of every successful patient outcome.
You are not simply part of the team. You are the backbone of our hospital. 💚
