**Nelly’s Vet Update – A Roller Coaster Day**

It’s been an emotional ride for our beautiful girl, Nelly. She’s had a very tough day, with multiple serious concerns being investigated.

Her bloodwork revealed extremely low sodium and high potassium levels, which points toward Addison’s disease. At this stage, we don’t know if it’s primary or secondary, but precautionary medications have been started.

A concerning amount of blood is present in her urine, and an ultrasound has shown significant bladder changes, including a thickened lining. Two urine samples have been sent off for culture, and we’re awaiting those results.

The biggest challenge right now is correcting her sodium levels *very slowly*, as doing it too quickly can be life-threatening and carries a high risk of brain damage. Thankfully, things are tracking in the right direction, but Nelly remains in critical care.

She will continue receiving 24/7 care at SASH for the coming days, as she is currently a very complex and fragile case.

We want to say a massive **THANK YOU** to everyone who has donated — we’ve received an incredible $3,000 so far.

However, her initial care estimate was **over $12,000**, and we’re still waiting on an updated quote. If you are able to help, even in a small way, we are in urgent need of additional funds.

**Every dollar helps and means the world to Nelly.**

Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts and for your continued support.

We got to see her tonight and tell her how much she is loved 💜
