The team at Port Adelaide Veterinary Clinic are committed to working in collaboration with you to ensure the wellbeing of your pet. We aim to receive 85% of our new clients through personal referral. As such we endeavour to provide a personalised service which incorporates the highest quality veterinary care for every patient. One of our guiding principles is to share with you how much we care before we show you how much we know. We, like many others, are in the business of caring for pets, we have no doubt however that when we become a part of your extended family, you will know what sets us apart. We generally strive to offer same day appointments, with emergencies and unwell patients always given priority. We run extended consulting hours to ensure we can always find an appointment that suits you.

Meet the Staff Monday 🄰

This week we meet our head nurse! Stephanie has been with the team since September last year and oversees our trainee nurses to make sure they are getting great coaching and mentoring. She has completed a science degree at Adelaide University as well as having her veterinary nursing certification. She came to PAVC with quite a few years of experience prior to joining our team. Stephanie loves meeting our clients and their pets and is very likely to steal cuddles from any puppies who enter our door! Stephanie lives with her adorable cat, Carlos.

I think we can safely say that Nala enjoys her cat hotel visits! Another one of our happy 'feline fine in the cattery' cats!

Our regular visitor, Humphrey, came in to visit us recently. We all took many opportunities to play with him during the day! This is the photo Georgia, our vet tech, took when she got him home 🄰. I think we successfully exhausted him 🄱. Do you have a pet who has an unusual sleeping style? Show us in the comments.

Meet the staff Monday šŸ¤—

This week we introduce Aynsley, our new receptionist! Aynsley has spent many years in the pet care retail industry before coming to us. We feel very lucky to have Aynsley join us at PAVC, her passion and enthusiasm are infectious! In this photo, she is cuddling her special boy, Leroy - how handsome is he 😻!?

Adorable Cheeto has recently been diagnosed with Diabetes, so his family was worried about who would be able to look after him while they were away. Not every cattery has vets and vet nurses on staff, so Cheeto's pawrents were relieved to find us! Like the rest of our feline guests, Cheeto is 'feline fine in the cattery'!

Veterinary medicine isn’t always predictable.

Behind a closed consult door might be a family hearing difficult news.

In theatre, there might be a patient fighting a little harder than expected.

On a treatment table might be a pet who simply needs more comfort before we can continue.

We don’t rush those moments. We can’t.

If we’re running behind, it’s never because we don’t value your time. It’s because a pet needs us, and we give everything we can, always!

Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and your understanding.

Everyday, we give our patients the time and care they need. šŸ¤

Meet the staff Monday
Alex is another of our amazing trainee nurses. Now in his final year of nursing school, Alex is already a skilled member of the team. The enjoyment he gets when he is around animals (especially cats) is what motivated him to pursue a career in the veterinary industry. He has many other talents and some of the team have had the pleasure of enjoying his cocktail making skills! Although Alex often works behind the scenes, some of you may have met him when he has been assisting vets in consults.
