Unano Munchkins

Directions

Unano Munchkins Unano Munchkin is a small cattery located in NE of Adelaide, South Australia. I first had my munchkin cat back in early 2008. So we went there and had a look.

This page is created to all my friends and those people with the same interest of the cute munchkin cats.I'll strive to update pictures and infos as much as I can for viewing purposes.I'm a registered breeder and a member of FA of South Australia We show our munchkin regularly so we will be always updated of what a "true to type" sweet munchkin cat would be. We health check our cats coming into my breeding program to make sure we're breeding a healthy cat that we all love to cuddle with! When I moved here in Aus permanently we decided to continue with our love of caring and breeding cats. We first had bengals and been showing them until in one show we've been told by one of our friend (another bengal breeder) that there's a munchkin cat in the show. Feb 11, 2017 when we had our foundation munchkin named Bennett and Dominik. Then I imported another line of munchkin from a different bloodline from NZ in 2018. Thanks to Helen from Helenca cattery. Munchkins are really a delight to have! Please join me in our journey with this new and very rare breed of cats here in Australia.

The new fur parent to this boy kitten suppose to pick up this weekend but their life circumstances changed due to personal reason.

Turn up the volume and you'll hear him purring for pats! 😊😊😊

So this boy is looking for his new home.
All vet work done and desexed.
Microchipped.

Message me if you're interested. Thanks

Hello everyone. I would like to address a frequently asked question I receive via private message.

Currently, I have a litter of Munchkin kittens, but all are already reserved through my waiting list. If any reservations fall through or prospective families decide not to proceed, I will contact the next individual on the list who I believe possesses suitable experience in cat ownership.

I typically do not maintain a waiting list; however, given the high volume of inquiries this year, and to ensure fairness to those who have taken the time to introduce themselves, I have made an exception.

Hi everyone,

I don't have any available this season. My munchkins had babies but they're all variants of the munchkins. That's just the down side of breeding the munchkin breed we can't predict if we're getting short legs or not. So fingers cross again next season.

Thanks everyone who messaged me and for tye ones that's still waiting for their future munchkin babies.

Hi everyone!

So sorry that I have been quiet for the past months. I have other things sorting out as I have other breed of cats so I have to manage my cat breeding cycle so I can spend time for each future litters/kittens growing, making sure they'll get all the attention they need for socialization.
With this note... I have planned for my munchkins this coming kitten season so pls keep checking this page for updates. At the moment there is a successful mating that had happened so fingers cross 🀞 we'll get some munchkins kittens in a few months 😊πŸ₯°πŸ˜Š

Thanks everyone. 😊

Hi everyone, for those who are messaging me about kitten availability. Unfortunately this year I don't have any available. Probably early to mid next year. Thanks for all the support.

When I first started breeding Munchkins back in 2008/2009. One of my first founding stud was a Tortie boy.
Everyone told me he is sterile and that was what I'm expecting him to be bacause of his genetic make up being a tortoieseshell so I just put him with my tabby tortie queen so she'll have a playmate while I'm saving to buy another stud to use. I see them doing the deed many times but I didn't care as I'm not expecting kittens from him. To my surprise after 3 weeks I noticed my queen is looking pregnant. They both produced healthy kittens as you all can see here on my old post back in 2014.

Lesson learned - don't trust science too much! πŸ˜…

Next year I'm planning on having 3 of my cats get mated to hopefully have more kittens available and not my usual 1 kitten per year.

There's a few that missed out on my waiting list this year and some of them have been waiting for a year at least that's why I decided to have a once off 3 matings next breeding season.

This will give plenty of time for the prospective future owner to save if they really want one of this adorable cuties!

Keeping, health checks, maintenance and vet cost alone is not cheap so please bare that in mind.

Parents are DNA and PCR tested.

Thanks all.

This little sweet standard (short legs) boy went to his new family yesterday. He got picked up from the vets (P.S the vet adopted him 😊😊😊)
To all that contacted me and to all that I contacted and didn't reply asap I'm very sorry. I only breed once a year with 1 queen so I have very limited kitten availability.

Next year or by the end of this year I plan to breed two of my munchkins instead of just 1 per year hoping to have more kittens to rehome. So please keep an eye out of my reply by the wnd of this year for those who msgd me to enquire. Thanks.
