The cat who went on an adventure...

This is the tired face of one very lucky cat Qiqi. Qiqi is an inside cat who snuck out of the house 4 months ago. Qiqi's owner was simply put, devastated!

Because Qiqi is microchipped, she was eventually handed into a vet clinic and the vet team were able to contact Qiqi's owner to say they'd been found. By the time Qiqi got to us (her regular vet team), she was so exhausted, had clearly lost some weight and was just ready to crash out and sleep.

After a health check and some celebrating, Qiqi was given the all clear by Dr Paul, and could finally go home. This is exactly why microchipping cats and dogs is so vital, as it can get them back home, where they belong when they're missing. The glynde vet team are all so happy for such a great outcome.

Our latest University of Adelaide vet student who has undertaken her industry placement shadowing Dr Paul, is the very lovely and talented Boglarka.

Bogy has also been a volunteer at the clinic for over a year. Her passion is equine medicine, and she has a very good rapport with staff members and clients alike.

Pretty in pink.

Dr Paul performed a lump check on the most lovely poodle today named Violet. Her owner is a dog groomer, can you tell?

While on a walk, carefree Remi thought
he would simply follow his nose and have a little stiff under a properties fence. However, the large dog on the other side of the fence didn't appreciate this. Remi walked away with a single bite wound to his nose, and his caring owners brought him to the clinic for the team to have a look at.

Upon initial consultation, Dr Needham cleaned the wound, and Remi was then booked in for Dr Paul to put him under anaesthetic to give a further clean and stitch up in order to close the wound.

Remi was a lovely patient. He's now all healed up and has learnt an important lifelong lesson, which is that as a dog, sometimes your nose can get you into trouble. ❤️

Everyone's feeling this heat, even our loyal pets.

Remember, if it's too hot for your bare feet on the pavement, then it's too hot for theirs also.

And please where possible leave out water for our wildlife who are doing it tough. 🌞🌡

Thanks RSPCA South Australia for this important information.

For the past 2 weeks, we have had Wesley undertaking his student placement as part of his Vet Med studies through the University of Adelaide. He comes all the way from Hong Kong and brings with him a friendly disposition, much knowledge about animal health, behaviour and slotted into the team with zero fuss.

Dr Paul and the whole Glynde Vet team wish Wesley to have all the success with his final 2 years of study.
