Are you passionate about working with animals and providing them with the highest level of care?
Due to staff professional development within the clinic, we are now seeking a motivated and compassionate casual animal attendant to join our team at the Midway Road Veterinary Clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves animals and is eager to assist in their day-to-day care while contributing to a positive and professional environment.
As an animal attendant, you will be part of the team for maintaining the well-being of patients in our care. Your primary duties will include feeding, cleaning, exercising, assisting with basic grooming tasks and maintaining the general hygiene of the clinic. You will be an integral part of ensuring the animals are happy, healthy, and comfortable in our facility.
Youe responsibilities will include:
· Providing daily care to animals, including feeding, watering, and cleaning of kennels.
· Ensuring animals are exercised according to their needs and schedules.
· Monitoring the health and behaviour of animals, reporting any issues to management.
· Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
· Interacting with clients professionally and assist with inquiries about their pets.
· Supporting the team in administering medications or attending to special care requirements.
Qualifications:
· A genuine love for animals and a desire to provide excellent care.
· Previous experience working with animals is highly desirable, but not required.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
· Attention to detail, particularly in maintaining cleanliness and monitoring animal health.
· A eagerness to listen, work and learn from our highly skilled team
Shifts will be starting with afternoon shifts and some Saturdays are required, but flexibility is desired. No Sundays or public holidays.
