The Gundog Club of SA inc is dedicated to the promotion and training of all Gundog breeds. Our club logo includes a triangle, each corner of the triangle represents a Gundog discipline. Gun Dog Club of SA is a voluntary organisation whose aim is to promote and educate dog owners regarding responsible dog ownership and basic obedience training. The Club consists of a friendly, helpful group of peop

le and new members are always welcome. Our Instructors are all un-paid volunteers who give their time freely towards providing this service to the local community. Dogs of all breeds and ages and sizes are trained at the Club and it does not matter whether you wish to train your dog to competitive trialing standard or simply to teach the basics and have an obedient family pet. We have classes ranging from Puppies (or Beginner) to trial standard. We teach basic heeling, sit, drop, stays, recall and socialisation. Class sessions go for approximately 50 minutes. You can purchase leads and various collars from the club at reasonable prices. We require members to have their dogs fully vaccinated prior to joining and annually. If you wish to join the Club it is essential that you bring along your dog's current vaccination card. Also the vaccination card must be sighted annually with each renewal of membership.

πŸΎπŸ’™ National Volunteer Week 2026 18–24 May 2026πŸ’™πŸΎ

National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering β€” recognising the incredible contribution millions of volunteers make to communities across the country.

This week, we proudly thank the amazing volunteers who give their time, knowledge, and passion to support our club. Whether you help as a:

🐾 Committee Member
🐾 Obedience Instructor
🐾 Scent Work Instructor
🐾 RATG Instructor
🐾 Trial Manager
🐾 Trial Secretary
🐾 Trial Steward
🐾 Thrower Steward

…or anyone who assist behind the scenes in any way β€” your contribution is truly valued.

Our training nights, trials, and events simply would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers. Your hard work helps create a welcoming, supportive, and successful club for everyone to enjoy.

Please join us this week in celebrating and thanking all of our wonderful volunteers for everything they do. πŸ‘πŸΆπŸ’™

🐾 Obedience Training at Dogs SA 🐾

A smaller group of about 12 dogs joined us for training last night at Dogs SA, but everyone absolutely loved our temporary location and the fantastic lighting. πŸ’‘πŸΆ

It was great to see handlers and dogs settling in so well, with plenty of room to train across all grades.

We’d love to see even more members out next Monday night!
