Same Honey. Just bigger, stronger, and learning every day 👏

Honey is a Newfoundland, and her owners have put in the work with her training from day one. She’s bred for water rescue, pulling and carrying objects, and built to work.

Okay but how’s the puppy dog eyes 🥹

In a lesson with 13-week-old Minty, we covered all things puppies, including building a strong reward marker, laying foundations to prevent separation anxiety and reinforcing calm behaviours.

We also worked on socialisation (which doesn’t just mean meeting other dogs!) and even had a really positive experience with thunder and rain during our session ⛈️

Did you know dogs have a critical learning period up until they’re 16 weeks old? What they experience and how they experience it during this time has a lasting impact and shapes how they view the world. Getting it right is so important to set them up for long term success.

And Minty is off to such a solid start 🖤
