We're back, mostly...

It has only been 6 days (seems a lot longer) since the fire at the clinic. But with the combined efforts of our suppliers, our insurers, the clinic team and some good wine, the Playford Vet Clinic will be reopening today for consultations.

We look forward to seeing you and welcome you all back in clinic. Rest assured it is as safe as ever for you and your pets! Thanks for your patience and the many people that checked in to see how we were 😍

Hi everyone. You may already have seen reports of a fire at the clinic today. Unfortunately the clinic has sustained some damage that will need to be repaired before we are able to reopen. It is unclear when this will occur but hope to be offer limited services early next week so stay tuned.

No animals or humans suffered any injuries. Fortunately it was towards the end of our day so all of our surgery patients in the area the fire broke out had already been discharged. We are grateful for that and are also grateful to the CFS/MFS and other emergency services that responded quickly and took control of the situation. Thanks also to those in the area who tried to help extinguish the fire before emergency services arrived.

We will be closing the clinic from Saturday the 18th of July and reopening on Monday the 27th of July to have some well-deserved R&R. During this time, there will be no opportunities to get ongoing medication refilled at the clinic so please ensure you organise enough for your pets. As you are all likely aware, Bird Flu has now been found in South Australia. As a precautionary measure, all birds (whether they are wildlife or pets) are not to be bought into the clinic until further notice.

$10 Microchipping at Playford Vet in June!

Dogs and Cats are regularly bought into clinic with no microchip and this makes it hard to know whether they are owned or not. If they are owned, it is extremely difficult to get them back home.

This month, we are offering $10 microchipping for cats and dogs. What's more, if you are coming in for a full priced service (e.g. vaccination, desexing, health check), we'll microchip them for free!

It's that time of year again and given the current cost of living pressures, it couldnt have come at a better time! We're having our dental special for the rest of April. That's 50% off the anaesthetic and clean and polish fees for cats and dogs. Same price as last year and the year before that. You pay $350 for your cat, or $450 for your dog. Is your cat/kitten due for a vaccination? Vaccinations provide protection from feline diseases such as Feline Enteritis, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Herpes.

It's the Australia Day long weekend! The clinic will be closed from tomorrow the 23rd of January and reopening on Tuesday the 27th of January. We hope you all enjoy the long weekend. It will be hot so make sure there's lots of cool, fresh water available for your fur pals!
