Luna expanded her circle of snack friends over the weekend - enjoying some food with Phoenix and Charlie!

Charlie is a bit of a boisterous clown around her, so I had to keep an eye on his levels of "extra", but Phoenix was a good choice as she is usually pretty quiet and predictable to be around.

It was good to see that Luna didn't shy away, food is her kryptonite so it has been helpful to use that as a way of getting her to interact with the others more 😊

The despair that entered this little lady's life!

Pepper woke up yesterday morning to discover there was no magic food bowl present - and the disbelief that the human slave would even dare was real 😂🫣

When Pepper is enjoying her bra free weekends, I take her food bowl out overnight to prevent her sneakily snacking and potentially making herself sick.
She does have a treat seed cone in with her to monch on if she really wants to - but apparently it is far easier to berate me and make sure that I know my place in the pecking order at home 🫤

Happy SIXTH gotcha day to my beautiful Bailey!

You aren't a people orientated type of feathered house mate and that is okay.
You found companionship with Sam and the 2 of you have been inseparable ever since 🥰

Bailey is one of my rehomed birds - she had been bought for a young child and after she constantly tried to nip/bite her, they decided to rehome her.
When i picked Bailey up via a third party, I discovered that her wings had been hacked - the worse i have ever seen and had to manage, and she was full of lice/mites 😯

Now she is a completely different bird with her wings never touched again and she is a more than capable flyer - and no more bugs aha

Look at who was sharing a tasty snack - and who got brave enough to move closer!

Teddy and Luna were sharing some sprouted wheatgrass last night, and as the snacking progressed little Luna moved around closer.....
There was plenty available at her end, so it wasn't out of necessity but rather she chose to 🤗

Now that the shop is available again, what better time is there to send a rescue box!

A rescue box is a great way of sending a little bit of love to a bird rescue 🤗
Birds in care use toys when they are in quarantine, and a lot of foster birds that are waiting for their forever perch also use toys.

By gifting a rescue box it frees up funds for other essentials like food and vet bills - but the birds aren't missing out - win win!

This rescue box was generously paid forward recently to the senders nominated rescue of Little Beaks .

Rescue boxes come in various values - you can nominate a rescue or I can do a lucky dip and that is it - I do the rest and you can feel good with a good deed done ✅️

Monty certainly enjoyed snacking on some freeze dried veggies from our other friends at Best Behaved Birds and I was impressed that he liked the beetroot 🫜

Luna is practising for etiquette school!

She is too little to balance a book on her head, but the little piece of balsa was perfect 😉

*Luna has experienced trauma and/or neglect and had pulled out her feathers as a result. Her wing feathers are growing back, but they are trimmed while they are uneven for her safety as she learns how to fly.
Luna joined my feathered family in mid June 2026.
