🐾 Is your dog constantly licking or chewing their paws?
According to Dr Karen Shaw Becker (Forever Dog), excessive paw licking can be a sign of irritation from environmental allergens such as grass, pollen, dust and mould - as well as chemicals your dog may encounter outdoors.
One simple way to help reduce what’s left sitting on their paws is a regular paw soak.
🌿 Dr Becker’s Detoxifying Paw Soak
• 4 organic green tea bags
• ½ cup raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar
• ¼ cup Epsom salts
• 950ml filtered water
• Optional: 1 tbsp Betadine
Soak the tea and dissolve the Epsom salts in boiled water, allow to cool, then add the apple cider vinegar and optional Betadine.
Soak each paw for around 30 seconds, then gently pat dry - no rinsing required.
A simple little routine that may help remove some of the environmental irritants your dog picks up during the day. 🐾💚

If your dog’s paw licking is persistent, severe or accompanied by redness, swelling, sores or infection, have them checked by your vet.
