Meet Bug 🧡

Bug has had an eventful few months. Bug took a tumble at home and his owner noticed he wasn’t weight bearing on this left hind leg.

After an initial examination, Dr Ella recommended radiographs of the sore limb. X-rays showed that Bug had fractured his femoral neck requiring surgical intervention.

Bug then had a Femoral Head Osteotomy (Removal of the femoral head). With strict rest, pain relief and a recovery suit, Bug has made a great recovery!

Meet Winter 🩶

Winter’s little humans kindly shared their sultana’s with her, however Sultanas can be very toxic for dogs potentially causing irreparable damage to the kidneys.

Fortunately for Winter, her owners were able to bring her into PSV shortly after ingesting the sultanas, she was given a medication that induces vomiting. Multiple sultanas were found in her vomit.(pictures of said vomit have been removed for your viewing pleasure)

Meet Albi ✨

Albi’s family bought her is as she has been head shaking, they flipped her ear and noticed they were quite inflamed, had a lot of debris and moderate odour coming from both ears.

Dr Jess diagnosed via cytology an active infection in both ears, with the hair and debris build up Dr Jess was concerned medication required to treat the infection would not be able to pe*****te the ear canal effectively so it was decided for Albi to be admitted for a ear flush and clean under general anaesthesia.

With long acting medication instilled in both ears Albi made a lovely recovery.

If you are concerned your pet is showing similar signs to Albi or any of the signs mentioned in this post please give us a call today on 70953377
