💕 JUST THE TWO OF US 💕
A letter from Luna & Astra
Dear Future Family,
We’re Luna and Astra, two beautiful big girls looking for a new home through Scruffer Lovers Inc.’s Assisted Rehoming Program.
Now, before you start thinking, “Two Mastiffs? That sounds like a lot of dog!” allow us to explain ourselves.
Yes, there are two of us.
Yes, we’re both 40+kg.
And yes, we may require a reasonably large couch.
But honestly? Our daily schedule is exhausting...
Eat. Sleep. Cuddle. Walk. Sleep some more. Check whether food has magically appeared. Repeat.
We’re Bull Mastiff/Neapolitan Mastiff sisters from the same parents but different litters. Luna is 4 and Astra is 3 Astra is the slightly more wrinkly one, just in case you need help telling us apart! We’ve been together for almost four years, so ideally, we would absolutely love to find a home together.

I’m the calm, affectionate one who believes personal space is highly overrated.
I love being with my people and, if possible, I like to be touching you. A paw, a head, half my body... whatever works. Contact makes me feel safe and happy.
I can become anxious when I’m left alone, so having my people and of course my sister Astra around means the world to me.
🤪 And I’m Astra...
Apparently, I’m the goofy one.
I prefer the term entertainment coordinator.
I’m fun-loving, affectionate and always ready for a cuddle, but I’m also quite happy doing my own thing. I take my responsibilities seriously particularly eating, sleeping and occasionally making everyone laugh.
Between the two of us, we think we make a pretty good team.
We have grown up around children and have lived with them since they were very young. We’ve been around children from around 2 years old, and our little humans are now 6 and 10. We’ve happily played with them, cuddled with them and even shared sleeping space with them.
We’ve also lived with a cat without any problems. We may be big girls, but apparently the cat didn't get that memo because the cat is definitely the boss. We know our place.
We both walk nicely on lead, although our new family needs to remember that we are 40+kg dogs, so you'll need to be comfortable and confident handling large breeds. We also have good recall and return when called.
We're fine around other dogs, although neither of us appreciates another dog getting right up in our faces. We like a polite introduction, little manners never hurt anyone!
We're both house trained, and despite our impressive size, we're actually pretty low-maintenance girls. Give us a comfortable bed, some love, our dinner and a daily walk, and we're pretty content.
And yes, the daily walk is important. A bored Mastiff brain can suddenly decide that something in the house looks suspiciously like a chew toy... and apparently humans get strangely attached to their belongings.
One more important thing...
WE LOVE BATHS!
Yes, you read that correctly. Two giant dogs who actually enjoy being washed. Surely that earns us bonus points?
We are both:
Desexed
Vaccinated
Regularly wormed
House trained
Good with children
Used to living with a cat
Good around other dogs with respectful introductions
Affectionate, well-behaved girls
Professional sleepers and cuddle enthusiasts
We know finding a home for two big girls together is a bigger ask, but we've spent almost four years side by side.
So, we're hoping there's someone out there with enough room in their home — and their heart for just the two of us.
Because when you've got your sister, a comfy bed, a full belly and someone to love...
What more could two girls ask for? 💕
