This is something everyone should see. This xray is of a 2 week old puppy.

When you get your 8/10 week old puppies, please keep this image in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

But when you're letting puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown - around 12-18 months depending on their breed, you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.

Mr Orange left tonight! The boys and I shed a few tears as we will miss him the most! He was our favourite! He has been picked by a wonderful family who will be taking him to work (gardening) Every Dogs dream I think!! Only one left now 🐾

Then there were two!! How big the pen seems with just two pups in it!!

Orange is a boy with soft curly coat. He can be vocal but loves to cuddle! He is such a sweet boy! Would keep him if I could! I think he would be great in a family or an couple who will take him with them on their adventures!

Purple is a girl with soft waves in her coat. She loves to play but is a quieter pup so would suit an couple, family with quieter kids or even an older person.

My mum has taken on one of our puppies! Her last dog past away last year and she has been missing having a dog around! She originally took Indy (yellow) home for a little holiday and brought her back earlier this week! She and my grandmother missed her so much that they decided to make it official! Congratulations mum!

Green, now know as Robbie has won the heart of a lovely lady who came to visit last night! I can’t blame her! Butter wouldn’t melt, would it!! I’m going to miss this little guy when he leaves tomorrow night!!

Breakfast this morning was busy this morning as Leo (Red) joined us for the day while his mummy was at work! Yellow came back from her holiday at my mums last night so there were 5 at the breakfast bowl!! Felt a little odd after going down to three for a couple of days!!

Mr Red is off to his new home today!! He is already very loved and I’m sure will be completely spoilt!!
