Moving into a new home is a big change, especially on little paws. 🐾

When you bring a newly adopted cat home, it’s natural to want to show them the entire house right away. However, creating a designated "Me" space gives them the security they need to decompress without feeling overwhelmed.

What should be in their quiet corner?
• A comfortable bed tucked away from high foot traffic
• A clean litter box (placed away from their food and water)
• Fresh water and nourishing food
• A favorite toy to keep them comforted

Patience and a little quiet space can make all the difference in turning a shy rescue into a happy, confident family member.

Did you recently adopt a cat who is spending all their time under the bed or behind the couch? Don't be discouraged—hiding doesn't mean they don't like you! 🐾

A new home brings a flood of unfamiliar scents, loud noises, and new faces. For a newly adopted cat, retreating to a cozy hiding spot is simply their way of processing a massive life change.

A few tips to help them settle:

• Set up a quiet "safe room" with food, water, litter, and comfy bedding.
• Avoid pulling them out or forcing physical affection.
• Sit nearby, speak softly, and let them explore at their own pace.

Trust takes time, but the bond you build by respecting their space is worth every minute. ❤️
