What a difference some TLC made for this lovely boy!
He has an adopter waiting for him abroad so all Geraldine Lahiri needs is a foster for a couple of weeks until flies!

This little lady came walking right into Lori Baker 's house a few weeks back. They were taking a delivery and she wandered right in. They just barely got this girl to a vet, to find confirm to be an advanced pregnancy. Today, she had her babies!! 3 whitish ones and one black and white under her arms. 🥰 Look for them in a few months at Adoption day at the Pethaus in Al quoz!

As adoption days are getting busier we thought we share this very useful information with you all.
What to expect when welcoming a new cat home, the Dos and Don’ts

Initial Days
* Set up a confined Safe Space: Set up a small, quiet room (bedroom, bathroom) with food, water, litter box, scratching post, and a hiding spot (like a carrier or box).
* Let Them Hide: Don't force interaction; let them come to you when ready. Sitting quietly nearby, talking softly, and offering treats builds confidence.
* Monitor Basics: don’t panic if they don’t eat, drink or use the litter box in the first 24-48h. Give them time and usually during the night or when no one is home they will nibble and use the litter box.
* Expect them to cry: It is normal for them to cry, meow incessantly. This is usually a sign of stress, disorientation, or longing for their previous environment, and it generally resolves within a few days or a week.
* Keep it Calm: Avoid loud noises, vacuuming, or having guests over, always limit and supervise kids interaction.
* Don’t add extra to the plate: Don’t attempt to groom or shower them, nail trim or putting a collar on.
* Provide familiarities: Make a point to use the same food and litter they are used to.

Gradual Expansion
* Slow Introductions: Once your new cat knows this is their “safe space” let them explore more with the option to always retreat back to that safe space.
* Supervise Other Pets: Keep introductions with resident pets brief, calm, and supervised. Initially is a good idea to swop beds and litter boxes for the two cats to get to know each other not face to face as cats communicate with smells.
* Routine is Key: Maintain consistent feeding and playtime to build security.
* Bonding Time: Look for signs they're ready for more affection, like seeking you out or wanting to play with wand toys.
* Follow the 3-3-3 Rule: Understand that it often takes 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn the routine, and 3 months to feel at home. Remember this little soul has been through so much and entering your home means losing everything that once meant security for them. Nothing looks, smells or feels familiar, new faces, set up and routine. All it takes is time and TLC. 38smiles thanks Kay

An update on sweet Ms. Frizzle! 🐾✨

When she was first brought her in, she was a tiny, uncared-for stray kitten running out of time. With no appetite, zero energy, and severe weakness, she needed critical, round-the-clock care just to survive.

Because of the incredible generosity of people like you, she was admitted for urgent veterinary care. The treatments, medications, and fluids she received truly saved her life, and just look at her now!

She has completely turned a corner and is thriving, all thanks to this amazing community. Thank you foster Stella for giving Ms. Frizzle the second chance she so deeply deserved! ❤️
