Why is neutering important?

Neutering isn’t just about preventing unwanted kittens. It also helps reduce roaming, fighting, territorial marking and the risk of certain health problems.

It’s an important step towards a healthier, safer life for your cat.

Contact Zoo Land Veterinary Clinic to book an appointment or discuss the right time to neuter your cat. 💙

Meet Storm – a survivor looking for her forever home 🐾

Storm was rescued during Dubai’s devastating April floods, when her life was in danger. Today, this beautiful four-year-old girl is safe, healthy and ready for a new chapter.

Storm is affectionate, gentle and loves human attention. She gets along peacefully with other cats but would be happiest as the only feline in the household, where she can enjoy all the cuddles herself.

After everything she’s been through, Storm deserves a peaceful, loving home and someone who will never leave her behind.

Could you be her person? ❤️

Please share her story. The right person might be just one share away.

Alto is looking for his forever home 💙🐾

Alto is a handsome 2-year-old boy — neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. He’s energetic, playful and absolutely loves his toys.

He can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but give him some time and patience, and you’ll see his sweet personality come through.

Alto needs to be the only cat in the home, where he can have all the attention to himself.

Cats swallow a lot of hair while grooming — especially during shedding season. 🐱

Malt paste helps swallowed hair pass naturally through the digestive system and can reduce hairball formation.

A simple addition to your cat’s routine alongside regular brushing.

If your cat goes outdoors, even a short adventure can sometimes end in a fight.

Cat bites and scratches may look minor at first, but small puncture wounds can become infected and develop into a painful abscess.

There’s another important consideration for outdoor cats: Feline Leukaemia Virus (FeLV). It can spread through close contact with infected cats, including through saliva and bite wounds.

If your cat regularly goes outside or comes into contact with other cats, speak to your veterinarian about FeLV vaccination and whether it is appropriate for your cat.

And after any suspected fight, check your cat carefully — those tiny bite marks can be very easy to miss. 🐾

Have you noticed that your cat’s pupils are different sizes?

This is called anisocoria, and it can be a sign of an eye or neurological problem that requires veterinary attention.

Possible causes include eye injuries or corneal scratches, inflammation such as uveitis, increased eye pressure (glaucoma), neurological disorders, or Horner’s syndrome.

If you notice a sudden difference in your cat’s pupil size, don’t wait — book a veterinary examination as soon as possible.

Avoid using any eye drops before your cat is examined by a veterinarian, as they may interfere with diagnosis.

🍇 Grapes are toxic to cats.

Fresh grapes and raisins can be dangerous, even in small amounts. They may cause vomiting, weakness, loss of appetite and, in severe cases, kidney damage.

If your cat has eaten grapes or raisins, don’t wait for symptoms — contact your vet immediately.

Keep them off your cat’s menu and out of reach. 🐾

They’ve already fought the hardest battle.

Every cat in this video has a story of abandonment, illness, fear, or neglect. They know what it’s like to be hungry, to hurt, and to be left behind.

Today, they’re healthy. They’re safe. But what they truly need is something we can’t give them forever – a family to call their own.

If you have room in your home and your heart, consider adoption. One decision can change a life forever.

Open your heart. Give a second chance to a cat who’s been waiting for one. ❤️

To adopt, please contact us via DM or WhatsApp.

Why is my black kitten turning into “salt and pepper”? 🖤

It can be surprising to see a black kitten suddenly develop silver or white hairs, but it’s not always a cause for concern.

This change can be linked to stress, illness, nutritional deficiencies, or temporary changes in pigment production. In some kittens, the coat returns to solid black after the first moult as new fur grows in.

If your kitten is active, eating well, and growing normally, there’s usually no need to worry. However, if the coat change is accompanied by hair loss, weight loss, or other signs of illness, a veterinary check-up is recommended.
