I promised to share Harry’s story on 12 October. But sometimes these things take a little longer than planned.

Today, I’m finally sharing the story of my boy — the little puppy who was never meant to stay, but became part of my heart and the reason behind Hart & Harry’s Pet Resort.

Three years of Hart & Harry’s. ❤️🐾

In August, Hart & Harry’s turned 3. We’re celebrating a little late — summer was simply too busy with boarding! 😅

But yesterday we received something very special: Dubai Municipality’s highest Category A classification. 🏆 So it felt like the right time to finally share our 3-year milestone.

Three years of long hours, anxiety, tears sometimes, difficult days and that very basic human fear — what if I don’t make it? What if I fail?

Three years ago I wrote a post on LinkedIn about letting my daughter go into her grown-up life after university. For a single mum, it felt like a huge achievement. And at the same time, I was starting my own new chapter — my new baby, Hart & Harry’s.

Since then, this place has taken a huge part of my life. My heart and soul go into it every single day, and I have always wanted to do the very best I can for every dog and cat who stays with us.

When we say family-run, we really mean it. My daughter, now a vet in England, is always there when I need veterinary advice. My dad spent months designing and hand-building our agility equipment, supervised the refurbishment and was involved in all the carpentry details, together with my stepmum. My sister sent me a cute little hand-painted piece all the way from Europe. And my whole family has been behind me through all the doubts, fears and “what am I doing?” moments. ❤️

And we couldn’t have done it without our wonderful team — working every day to keep the dogs entertained, safely managed and happy, while keeping the whole place clean and hygienic.

It hasn’t always been easy. But three years later, I’m very proud of what we have built together.

For me, that A means a lot. It represents three years of hard work, learning, investment, family support and believing in what I started.

Three years down. ❤️
And still very much my baby.
