Public Statement from The Barking Lot and Aditi Gouri

We are deeply concerned by recent reports published across multiple platforms that have falsely attributed statements to both Aditi Gouri and The Barking Lot. These reports misrepresent our position, and we wish to clarify that the quotes attributed to us are inaccurate and do not reflect our views or actions.

We are currently reviewing this matter. Appropriate steps will be taken as necessary. In the meantime, we respectfully request that the public and members of the media refrain from circulating these false statements and rely only on verified communications issued directly by us.

We also wish to acknowledge and appreciate the exceptional work being carried out by the leadership and government of Dubai and the UAE in adapting and ensuring public safety during these challenging and unprecedented times.

So we have been featured recently in the Telegraph, the Daily Mail, Metro UK, The Times of India, NDTV and more. And we have been contacted by multiple other global news agencies since. It should be a notch on our belt, but it’s sadly tainted by the subject of the story - how residents are fleeing the UAE and abandoning their pets. We are horrified by all we are seeing on the news ourselves and hearing from our partners in the pet industry.

We are firmly committed to having our feet firmly planted and caring for our doggies and cats. No matter what. This is our promise.

And we are very grateful that we have the support of the majority of our dog and cat mums and dads through this time. We’ve build relationships of mutual trust and are humbled by the steadfast commitment our clients are showing us in this time of uncertainty.

Thank you for your support always 🙏 and please show us some grace as we navigate uncharted waters. We are doing our absolute best to support our community and will always show up ❤️

We also want to give a major shout out to who is being proactive in their efforts to formulate a game plan and have boarding facilities assist 👏

Most importantly, PLEASE DON’T ABANDON YOUR PETS! To you, they are a part of your life, but to them, you are their whole lives. We are heartbroken at the situation around us. Please do better!

It’s been a tough couple of days. We brace ourselves with every sound we hear, look up to the skies in helplessness and huddle closer to our loved ones, painting all sorts of scenarios in our minds, trying to keep it all together and be strong.

Our scrolls are filled with so much information, so much of which is hard to process and we want to turn away. So we want to do our little part to break the cycle, even if just for a moment, and to show you snippets of our happy, innocent doggies and kitties who have not a clue in the world and just want to love and be loved. We love our job even more during times like these.

We are ever grateful to be in the UAE 🇦🇪- a country that puts its citizens, expats and tourists first, and is doing an incredible job in keeping us informed and safe. We salute our leadership and all those working tirelessly to keep our skies safe.

We pray that we can put this behind us, with our faith and feet firmly grounded, and keep living the incredible life afforded to us here. Please stay safe and may God have mercy on all of us 🙏

Please excuse us.. We were busy being all loved up all weekend 🥰

Some of our doggies celebrated with their regular lovers, some decided to practice some eat-pray-self love, others found love late in the day and missed our photo op, and one dapper doggy is left still trying his luck 🤪 let's hope Rocky finds a Valentine this year! I mean, look at that wink..

Last night was ALL about our incredible Care Crew. Twice a year, after busy season, we take a night to celebrate all we have achieved and let our hair down to CELEBRATE! 🥳🥳🥳

We exchanged belated Secret Santa gifts and danced the night away!...... And opened our doors at TBL responsibly at 630am today 😂

TBL was born with a 5 member Care Crew and we have grown to over 35 now. We will never forget our humble beginnings and will continue to put our doggies and kitties FIRST.

We wanted to share some snippets of our shenanigans. We are sure you will recognize some of the happy faces and kind hearts that greet you everyday 🥰

We are blessed to have the BEST Care Crew in the world!

Tonight hit different. We're capping off an INCREDIBLE year and we are full of gratitude. 2025 has been amazing and we can't wait to see what 2026 has to offer! GO TBL! 🥳

We've had the holliesy, jolliest Christmas yet at TBL! 🎄and our stockings are overflowing with happiness.

From Xmas photoshoots to Santa's visit, our Care Crew elves have been busy!

While Dubai has slowed down today and is taking stock of the aftermath of the heavy rains, I'm swelling with pride and appreciation for our Care Crew. Everytime there are heavy rains and flooding, they just show up.

And this time has been no different. Not a single member of our Crew has stayed home today. From our Front of House staff, to our groomers, to our Doggy and Kitty Crew to our incredible Doggy Express Captains. Every one of these kind humans have pulled through because they know our doggies and kitties need them.

Here are some of the ever-smiling faces of The Barking Lot. Our backbone and our strength, who keep our engine churning day in and day out.
