This little boy is Sully and we need an emergency foster 💔 He is only 9/10 months old 💔

He was adopted some months ago and something has changed inside the home. We URGENTLY need a home with no kids while we get an idea of what’s going on

We were alerted to this boy last week but sadly couldn’t get eyes on him. Last night a kind community member spotted him and was able to get him into a carrier for us

We rushed him down to BVC and were really hopeful it was a foreign object in his mouth and nothing worse … he was sedated for exam and it was found he had necrotic bone and tissue inside his face which meant it was impossible to save him. The first images of inside his mouth show food impacted in that space and the last images show once flushed and cleaned. The Dr felt it would be inhumane to take him down a path of treatment because he had no way of closing that space which would then lead - at some point - to further complications. When he was sedated the tube filled with mucus, too. Also pictured

We’ve felt the need to show the images with this one because quite a few people have challenged the euthanasia decision. This was not a financial choice.

This was a choice based on ethics and welfare.

This boy was neutered but no chip and no ear tip so we believe he was once a pet 💔

A fully grown adult cat weighing 3.2kg 💔 He was THE FRIENDLIEST boy. Life and humans had been cruel and despite it all he was still fighting. We are so sorry we had to be the ones to end that fight but no animal deserves this. If we had caught this earlier he may have had a decent chance. We were just too late - he had been like this for quite some time.

We called him Hugo. He was let go finally free from pain

Ah Dobby Dobs…. Not a post we ever expected to be writing. This wee guy has shattered our hearts by checking out so early 💔

Dobby turned up at our doorstep a couple of years ago. It was very obvious he was brought by Nigel and they became thick as thieves.

Dobby had about 2 brain cells but he had an amazing skill for ending up in every single village - as well as Downtown - and this is something that increased after Nigel left us last year. Eventually we decided to bring him inside about 6 months ago. Officially an indoor boy 🙌🏼

He settled in well and got to a point he ran back indoors whenever given the chance to go back outside - we took this as a good sign 💙

Sadly this past week he developed wet FIP. He was taken to BVC where he had fluid drained from his chest multiple times. Despite starting GS he just couldn’t fight it and passed away on Thursday night 💔

Devastated to have lost this wee fella. He was such a character. Can only hope he’s now running around with Nigel happy as Larry and they’re sharing those brain cells 💔🌈

Where to begin 💔

This little tot turned up in Contemporary and most likely came inside a car engine. Terrified and having been attacked by a large neutered male she was trapped and brought inside

Kittens MUST be isolated for minimum 5 days. All new cats need to be isolated really but there is a real chance they blow parvo and before we know it, the rest of the cats in the house have it

The problem with isolating kittens is they can also tank from depression. It’s not easy. Bandit had a strong smell coming from her and it was evident it was her mouth. Dr Rachel kindly met me at BVC out of her normal hours to assess her and medicate as needed. She had calicivirus but it seemed to be resolving.

Medicated we went home. Within a few days she was up and down until she started diarrhea. It came on rapidly and she was rushed to BVC. We had to hospitalize her as she was only 700g having dropped 200g 💔

We don’t typically go this hard for tiny kittens because we have no guarantees and unless we have ZERO other cases on we have to choice but to think of funds. But we did go all in. We threw everything at her. In her final days she even had a feeding tube placed.

We discovered she had coccidia which is a parasite. It ravages cats and kittens and she was too tiny to fight it. By the time her treatment started she was too far gone due to her other issues with calicivirus.

We eventually made the call to let her go. This was not an easy one. We let her down. Massively. We should have let her go on the Monday. Instead she was let go on the Thursday. That’s days of suffering we could have avoided.

The one comfort we can take from it is we know we tried. She tried. She just didn’t have enough left to fight it but we are so thankful she had fluids and pain relief so although we lost her she was not in pain and she didn’t die on the street 💔🌈

If love could save them we’d never lose them

Please STOP allowing cats to follow you around from village to village

Please STOP allowing your kids to interact with community cats and carry them to other locations

Community cats should be FEARFUL of humans and if they’re friendly they are at risk

Yes, we have SUPER friendly cats in our community but that doesn’t mean we encourage them. As painful as it is we have to ignore them

People get really annoyed with us when they suggest that they TNR a cat for us and we ask them *just* to sponsor. We absolutely love that people want to help but one of the reasons we prefer to do this ourselves is because we are their guardians

We would never have known this little one was a relocation if she hadn’t been spotted this morning 💔

Meet Woody💫

This little boy is quite the character and is just about to turn 1 … he’s been through the wars already at such a young age 💔

You’d think that would dampen his spirits but NOPE! Woody is still thriving and causing mischief - typical Arabian Mau boy 🩵

Woody was found in Downtown and had breathing difficulty. Picked up for a health check and TNR we discovered he had a diaphragmatic hernia 💔

He had quite the journey repairing that and it was truly touch and go. Thankfully he pulled through but then he got FIP 💔💔

He is a true warrior and managed to kick FIP’s butt, too

And still he continues to shine 💎

💙 Fully vaccinated
🩵 Microchipped
💙 Dewormed
🩵 Clean bill of health 🥳

🏡 Woody is a shy boy at first and so we haven’t been able to get him into adoption days. It’s just far too stressful for him. As you can see he comes to life when he’s in a safe environment. He currently lives with a small human and we think he would do best in a home with other tiny humans - not essential though

🐱 Not tested with cats but we believe he would be ok with another playful cat
🐶 Not tested with dogs but should be ok with correct introduction
👶🏻 Fantastic with kids

🎤 Woody is lively and playful and desperate for affection. He’s still a young boy with so much love to give

✈️ His passport is ready and we do welcome international adoptions. We ask for an adoption fee of 250 GBP but this goes towards the total cost of relocation. We take care of this and we share every step for full transparency

This little boy was picked up a few days ago and we believe he’s traveled to us inside a car engine 💔

He integrated himself with kittens of a similar age but he was very poorly and clearly not a healthy kitten. At 800g he is smaller than an 8 week old kitten but estimated to be 3.5-4 months old 💔

He had signs of calici which was resolving and of course eye problems. He only has a foster for a few days though to ensure he gets medication and fattened up

Then he goes back outside 💔

We don’t have enough foster homes for the volume this year.

Kittens also shouldn’t be solo. We could pair him with Bandit if we had a foster willing to take them as a duo while we look for a FURever home for them

If you’d like to be a foster and give them both a chance, please get in touch. He will most likely be back outside at the weekend and this is heartbreaking for such a tiny affectionate baby

🆘 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED - MEDICAL CASE 🆘

We are appealing for a medical foster for this little boy 💔

He is currently in isolation in a home with other pets and the stress of isolation is really affecting his health 💔

What we know:
Louis has an allergy of some sort. We cannot tell if it is diet or environmental but we are doing every test we can and trialling him on a specific food to try and resolve this

What we need:
Louis needs a pet free home where he can enjoy living like a normal cat. He needs a calm environment and he has A LOT of love to give. He needs to not be left on his own for long periods and needs to feel affection. He’s only young and he deserves this chance

We will provide EVERYTHING needed for this boy. We just need a safe space.

He may need daily meds and this may change as the weeks go on. But most importantly he needs TLC with lots of cuddles and we need regular updates on his status

will take care of all medical costs. He will ONLY see our own vet Dr Rachel at BVC and we will take care of vet visits too (unless you want involved but you wouldn’t be responsible for any decision making)

You don’t need to be home all day but being able to spend time with him daily is essential

We are ideally looking for a foster home without pets or small children because we need to be able to control what he is exposed to (for allergies) and keep stress to a minimum

Or should that be ‘Bandita’?

This little tiny turned up most likely from inside a car engine. Heading on a dog walk a couple of days ago she could be heard SCREAMING her lungs out - understandable if she had traveled inside a car engine 💔

One of our doorstep cats immediately went for the attack and she ran back inside the car so it was evident she couldn’t be left outside

She has the stinkiest mouth so it was never going to be an easy one

She was taken to see Dr Rachel last night (that’s what rock & roll Fridays are for, yeah?!) and we found she’s only around 8 weeks old 💔💔💔

That’s actually quite good news for her mouth as it gives us a chance to help fix it as her teeth change … most likely calicivirus related but for now she has SUPER strong pain meds, she had SQ fluids and an antibiotic… finally this morning she started eating - albeit slowly 🙏🏼

Bandit is a teeny tiny 900g and has quite a way to go but for now it’s teeny tiny baby steps to get her healthy and pain free
