Miracle Wednesday 🙏🏼
Sometimes, the best stories are the ones that remind us just how incredible both people and animals can be. ❤️
You may remember the tiny newborn kitten that Head Nurse Sarah was bottle-feeding last week after she had been found alone, cold, and separated from her mother. At the time, her future was uncertain.
Enter our rescuer—a human paramedic who instinctively sprang into action. Despite not being a cat owner himself - he rushed her to us for care , learned how to bottle-feed her, and refused to give up hope of finding her family.
His determination paid off.
After searching, he located the kittens’ mother in the basement of his building and brought her somewhere safe. Mama Cat turned out to be incredibly affectionate, and despite almost two days apart and plenty of human handling, she immediately recognised her baby. She gently groomed her, cuddled her close, and began feeding her as though they’d never been separated.
Just when we thought the story couldn’t get any better…
Two days later, another resident discovered a second newborn kitten from the same litter. Amazingly, despite being alone all that time, she was still alive. Once again, Mama Cat didn’t hesitate for a second—she welcomed her baby back with the same love, cleaning her, comforting her, and nursing her alongside her sibling.
Today, the little family is safe, warm, and thriving. The second kitten is a little smaller than her sister, but both are doing wonderfully.
The happy endings don’t stop there. Loving adopters are already waiting for both kittens when they’re old enough, and the rescuer has fallen so completely in love with Mama Cat that she’s found her forever home with him!❤️
This story is a beautiful reminder that compassion changes lives. One person decided to stop, help, and keep trying—and because of that, an entire little family has a future.
