Our work is not for a WEEKEND , but a LIFETIME
Almost 13 years ago, when we first came to the old Honfontein township, Bobby was one of the very first dogs we attended to.
The community was meeting us for the first time, and we were meeting them. None of us knew then how deeply one brave little dog would touch our hearts forever.
Bobby’s front leg was severely injured. After many long conversations with his owner, the difficult decision was made to surrender Bobby to Little Paws Big Hearts so that he could receive the urgent medical care he needed.
Due to the seriousness of the injury and the long time that had passed without treatment, Bobby’s leg had to be amputated.
For a township dog, living with only three legs is often seen as a death sentence, because survival is already so difficult. But Bobby proved everyone wrong.
Then Renaldo, who was part of our team, with his family opened their home and heart to Bobby.
THANK YOU BELINDA
For almost 12 beautiful years, Bobby lived with this incredible family, surrounded by love, safety, and care. Sadly, Bobby has left us.
We will never forget this courageous dog. Bobby left deep paw prints on our hearts and in our lives.
He reminds us why outreach work matters.
Why every rescue matters.
Why every life matters.
This is the difference compassion makes.
Not only for a moment — but for a lifetime.
Run free, precious Bobby. You were deeply loved.
