🐾 HOT WEATHER ALERT FOR PET PARENTS 🐾

With the heat we are experiencing, please help us keep our furry friends safe.

☀️ WHY YOU SHOULD NOT WALK YOUR DOG ON HOT PAVEMENT

If the sidewalk is too hot for your bare hand, it's too hot for their paws.

Concrete and tar can reach 65°C+ when it's only 30°C outside. In just 60 seconds on hot pavement, your dog can suffer

Blistered and burnt paw pads
Severe pain and limping
Infection if the burn opens

Quick Test to determine if how hot it is for your furry babies paws pads
Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds. If you can't hold it, don't walk your furry babies on it.

Walk early morning (before 08:00) or late afternoon (after 18:00) when it's cool, and always stick to grass.

WAYS TO HELP YOUR FURRY BABIES COOL Down

1.) Fresh water always Keep multiple bowls, add ice cubes

2.) Shade Never leave them in direct sun or in a car, even for 2 minutes

3.) Cooling mat / wet towel Let them lay on a damp towel

4.) Paddling pool a shallow pool with cool water for their paws

5.) Frozen treats Freeze dog-friendly treats, watermelon, or broth

Your dog's paws are not shoes. Hot tar can burn their pads in under a minute and cause serious injuries.
