Good morning K9 guys and girls.
Let me start of by saying thank you to all of you for your support, it means a lot to me. Now Iet me tell you a bit about myself and K9-ANNIE.
I am a 32 year old mom of two boys, married to my best friend and love of my life, Gert Botha. I am a very straight forward person, had a VERY hard and rough start in life, i grew up with dogs and most the time they were all I had. From the age of 8 years I started to develop my skills, training and understanding dogs. I was 10 when I got and fully trained my Rottweiler, Tyron, this is where my love for power breeds started. I developed a passion for any dog that needed help especially broken, abused, fearful, neglected and aggressive dogs.
After matriculating in 2005 I had numerous jobs and worked my way up, but i got bored very quickly and not being challenged and being caged from 8 to 6 every day frustrated and aggregated me. After meeting my husband, getting married, kids and very tough life changing events, the urge to make a difference in an ugly world grew with each passing day. My dream to since I can remember was to work with and help dogs. This because a calling.
For 3 years i prepared, dreamed, made plans, failed, stood up again, studied, met real dogmen and dogwoman, went to events, organised events and helped every dog and handler that I could, learned and I am still learning. I tried enrolling for the same course 4 times, every time something stood in the way of me getting my diploma as a dog behaviourist and trainer, for more than 2 years i battled. Unfortunately I have loads of experience but being legitimate and educated is just as important.
But finally I am registered and enrollment is done and I am aiming for top results while getting K9-ANNIE started and established so that when i am qualified, I can make the difference and help dogs and humans alike.
K9-ANNIE will then be offering so much more than just basic training.
Currently I am still under the groups wings of my mentors and two favourite humans in the world, form Titonarc, Shane and Janine Cooper.
I myself am still learning every day and being able to learn from two people who have 40+ years of experience and the same overwhelming love and passion for dogs and nature in general is truly a massive honour and privilege.
K9-ANNIE will be offering any and all things K9, from basic services to assistance with emergencies. My fees are little and if i have any profit from services rendered, it goes straight to my monthly payment for the diploma. I am based in Pretoria and traveling is possible. One thing that is a big priority is education of especially young people. I will assist anyone, any time, with any problem and any breed of dogs, not just Pit bulls. I am a firm believer in no violence against animals. Positive reinforcement, enrichment and training only.
Then this WhatsApp group is for any and all of your K9 needs, no matter how big or small, or even just to talk and share photos, information, events, special offers, products, lost and found dogs, or just to have a laugh, we are all family here. Feel free to share this group aswell.
