The WozaPaws forum is open! 🐾

Remember when the internet felt like a cosy clubhouse? We missed that, so we built one for South African dog people.

Swap trail tips, ask about training and care, plan road trips with your dog, or just share a photo of your pup being ridiculous. No algorithm, no "likes" race, just good conversations with people who love their dogs as much as you do.

When you're logged in, WozaPaws shows you the parks, trails, beaches and dog-friendly businesses that were added in the last 30 days and that you haven't checked out yet. Open a spot and it's no longer new, so your list keeps up with you as you browse.

Here's where to look:

The most adventurous adventure on WozaPaws? That title belongs to mNweni. πŸ”οΈπŸΎ

Tucked between Royal Natal and Cathedral Peak, mNweni is often called the wildest, most dramatic corner of the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg. It isn't a national park but tribal land, reached through the mNweni Cultural & Hiking Centre outside Bergville.

There are no marked trails here. You follow cattle paths through the foothills, then navigate by map, compass and riverbed as you climb towards the Needles, the Saddle and the Rockeries. The reward: the turquoise Mnweni Pools, San rock art, and views hikers call life-changing.

Did you know picking up your dog's p**p on trails is about more than just good manners? πŸΎπŸ’©

Dog waste introduces bacteria and parasites into ecosystems not built to handle them. If your dog is on flea and tick medication like NexGard or Bravecto, there's an extra layer to this.

A study published in early 2026 found that these medications are excreted through your dog's p**p and can persist in soil and water, putting dung-feeding insects at risk. The same insects that keep our ecosystems healthy.

The science is still developing, so don't change your dog's medication without speaking to your vet first. But it is a very good reason to always bag it and bin it on the trail.
