Horse Transformation: The Power of Proper Equine Dental Care 🐴

I'm thrilled to share the incredible transformation of one of my recent equine patients. The owner contacted me 2 months thereafter, thrilled about how their horse's overall condition has improved during this time, and has agreed that I may showcase some of my work!

Upon initial examination, the horse was looking quite thin. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that his teeth were not in the best of conditions and required extensive floating and dental treatment.

As you can see in the 'before' image (below), he was underweight and not thriving.

However, after just a single session of comprehensive equine dental work, the difference is absolutely remarkable.

From the 'after' photo (below), you can see that he has gained a significant amount of weight, his coat is shiny, and he appears much healthier and vibrant.

This is a prime example of the difference proper equine dental care can make. When a horse's teeth are in optimal condition, they are able to chew and digest their feed far more efficiently. This, in turn, leads to improved overall health, condition, and performance.

🐴🦷 Introducing Neighs and Nippers - Equine Dental Care by Steven Ferreira! 🦷🐴

Hi there! My name is Steven Ferreira, and I'm thrilled to officially announce my equine dental care business in Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha. 🎉

I am a bit late to start posting an introduction, I am not necessarily a social media type of person! Yet, here I am. Rather late than never!

Horses have been an integral part of my life since I can remember. From riding and competing professionally (and yes, I still do!), to now dedicating myself to improving the well-being of these magnificent creatures in our community, my passion for horses has guided me every step of the way. I currently hold the title of SA Grand Champion Boerperd for the 7th time.

Recognizing a significant need for equine dental care across the country, I decided to seize the opportunity and make a difference.

In 2021, I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology & Physiology. Following that, I undertook a comprehensive dentistry course led by Equine Dental Services in Cape Town. Completion of my course: July 2023. Throughout my journey, I had the privilege of working at renowned venues such as Drakenstein Stud Farm, Varsfontein Stud, Winterbach Stud, Milnerton Racing, and many others.

My approach to equine dentistry is rooted in a deep belief in the well-being of every horse, regardless of their circumstances. I am dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality dental care to ensure the optimal health and comfort of your beloved equine companions.
