Camp is officially in progress, and we are working to improve the lives of dogs in our community — including these dogs in Kwanokuthula.

The goal is simple: get these dogs off chains and into safer, more suitable living conditions. 🐕❤️

But we can’t do it alone.

We are appealing to our community for donations of:
🐶 Dog food
🛏️ Blankets
🏠 Kennels
🥣 Food & water bowls
🦮 Collars & leads
⛓️ Longer chains where they are currently necessary while we work towards better solutions

🐾 34 SPAYS SINCE 1 JUNE — AND WE’RE KEEPING GOING! 🐾

This morning we had another group of dogs safely spayed and we’re now on our way to dropping them back home in Kwanokuthula. ❤️

Since 1 June, Ouland Animal Outreach has facilitated 34 spays — 34 dogs who will no longer contribute to the cycle of unwanted puppies, neglect and suffering.

It may feel like a small number in the face of such a huge problem, but every single sterilisation makes a difference. 🐾

A huge thank you to our dedicated vet for their ongoing support and to everyone who helps us make this work possible. 🙏❤️

Breakfast is served! 🍽️🐶

This morning we headed out to the doggies in Kranshoek with a little something for their tummies. It may seem like a small gesture, but making sure they have a meal, a little love and someone who cares can make such a difference. ❤️

No animal should go hungry or feel forgotten. We’ll keep showing up, one dog at a time. 🐾

Zulu got a comfy leather collar instead of a horrible chain around his neck which is causing skin irritation.I never thought in our so called "civilized" society that dogs being chained with padlocks around their necks would be considered acceptable.Please report animal abuse to us we will try our best to help these poor souls who are living in illegal situations

Back in Kwanokuthula, this sweet doggie was fed again and given a deworming tablet. 🐕❤️

We’ll be keeping an eye on this beautiful soul and checking on their condition the next time we visit. Hopefully, with regular food, care and a little extra help, we’ll start to see an improvement. 🙏🏼

Sometimes rescue isn’t about one big moment — it’s about showing up, again and again. ❤️

Yesterday morning in Kwano was a reminder that every little act of kindness matters. 🐾

I spent some time helping a few dogs in need, putting dry, warm blankets into kennels and giving fresh water to those whose bowls were empty.

It may seem like something small, but to a dog who is cold, thirsty or simply needs a little care, it can mean the world.

Every little act of kindness warms a little heart. And sometimes, making a difference doesn’t require much, just noticing a need and doing something about it.

This is why the work of Ouland Animal Outreach is so important. ❤️

Sweet HomeBoy has spent his days on a chain, with very little space to move around. So, with some hard work, we managed to build him a small enclosure where he can finally get off the chain, stretch his legs, walk around and have a little space of his own.

It might seem like something small, but for HomeBoy, it means freedom, comfort and a better quality of life.

This is exactly why animal welfare matters. We may not be able to change every situation overnight, but with a little perseverance, compassion and community support, we can make life better, one animal at a time.
