🐾 WHISKEY HAD SOME VERY SPECIAL VISITORS TODAY! 🐾

Vanessa fell so in love with Whiskey’s story that she just HAD to meet him! ❤️

She drove all the way from Pretoria to come see our boy — bringing him some delicious biltong, his very own teddy, and, most importantly, some of the love and attention he has been waiting so long for. 🥹🐾

A HUGE thank you to Vanessa and Co for making the trip, for the goodies, and most of all, for all the love and effort you put into making Whiskey feel so special today. ❤️

It truly means more than you know.

Kindly note: We are unfortunately not yet open to the public. Our location and facilities (lack thereof) simply aren’t suitable for regular visitors yet — and that very horrible 4x4 gravel road certainly doesn’t help! 😂

We do, however, accommodate pre-arranged visits when our schedule allows. There are only so many hours in a day, and our first responsibility will always be caring for the animals. 🐾❤️

We absolutely love meeting the people who support what we do, and we hope that one day we will have the facilities and capacity to open our doors properly.

🐾 WHISKEY UPDATE 🐾

Just done at the vet — and we have some GOOD news! 🥳❤️

Whiskey is negative for Parvo! 🙌

His skin scrape unfortunately showed quite severe mange, but he’s now started on antibiotics, NexGard, medicated shampoos and cortisone. And some heavy duty dewormer 🪱

He needs to go onto puppy food with prebiotics to help rebuild his little body.

It’s going to be a long road, but Whiskey is finally getting the care he deserves. ❤️

A huge thank you to Kanonkop Dierekliniek/Animal Clinic for their amazing service, care and compassion towards Whiskey. We truly appreciate you! 🐾❤️

We’re still going to need some help covering Whiskey’s ongoing medication, food and everything else he needs on his road to recovery. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. 🙏❤️

🐾DROVE 6 HOURS TO BRING WHISKEY TO SAFETY. ❤️

It started with one phone call.

A concerned citizen sent us a photo of Whiskey, and the moment we saw him, we knew he needed help urgently. He was in heartbreaking condition, and there was no time to waste.

So we got in the car and drove.

It felt like forever to reach a boy who had been failed by people, but who was still waiting for someone to show him kindness. Six hours to give him the chance he deserved.

And when we met Whiskey, he completely stole our hearts.

Despite everything he has been through, this boy is SO incredibly sweet. He still wants affection. He still has so much love to give — and, most importantly, so much life left in him.

Yesterday, Whiskey made the long journey home.

He is safe now. 🥹❤️

But safety is only the first step.

Whiskey needs extensive veterinary treatment before he can begin to heal properly. We already have his veterinary appointment scheduled with Kanonkop Dierekliniek/Animal Clinic. He will need food, medication, follow-up care and ongoing support as he starts rebuilding his life.

If you can help Whiskey, any donation — no matter how small — could make a life-changing difference. Your contribution can help cover his veterinary care, fuel, food, and the daily expenses that make his recovery possible.

One call brought Whiskey to our attention.
One photo showed us how urgently he needed help.
Six hours brought him to safety.

26/08/2026 - Roxy’s Second Chance 🐾❤️

Wednesday, we had the privilege of helping Roxy — a beautiful Labrador × Boerboel.

When Roxy’s family fell on hard times and tragedy struck, their hands were tied. But instead of giving up on her, they reached out for help.

Roxy was a rescue they had taken in, and when she came into heat, she suffered a vaginal prolapse. They contacted us because the state vet did not have the facilities to perform the necessary surgery, while private veterinary treatment was simply beyond what they could afford.

And then our incredible guardians at Bluepage Corporation heard about Roxy.

They didn’t hesitate. They stepped in and made sure Roxy could receive the treatment she desperately needed. ❤️

Wednesday, Roxy underwent corrective surgery for her prolapse, and she was also sterilised.

We have to give a very special thank you to Kanonkop Dierekliniek/Animal Clinic. 🥹❤️

From the moment Roxy arrived, they were absolutely fantastic. They were kind, friendly and compassionate, kept us updated throughout the process, and gave us the peace of mind of knowing that Roxy was in the very best hands.

This is what community looks like.
This is what compassion looks like.
And this is what happens when we work together. 🐾

Our Warrior Princesses Have Been Adopted! 🥳❤️

Xena and Gabby, our two beautiful warrior princesses, have officially been adopted! 🥹👑🐾

Gabby is now a city girl, living her best life all the way in Johannesburg! 🌆❤️

And Xena? She has a new name — Frankie — and she’s staying right here as a local celebrity! ⭐️🐶

We couldn’t be happier for these two girls. They have both been through so much, and seeing them finally get the loving homes they deserve makes our hearts so full. 🥰

Thank you to their wonderful adopters for opening your homes and your hearts to them. ❤️

🌸In Her Honour 🌸 Woman’s day Outreach 🤍

What a day. ❤️

Our Honour Outreach took us into the community, where we spent the day checking on animals, meeting their owners and identifying where help was needed.

We handed out food, blankets, bowls and collars, educated owners, and helped with practical solutions for animals needing safer containment, proper shelter, food and clean water. We also identified animals needing deworming, vaccinations, sterilisation and veterinary care.

We encountered a number of dogs being kept on chains, and we spoke to their owners about making proper runs and improving their living conditions. These animals will be followed up on to see how things progress, and necessary steps will be taken where appropriate.

Sadly, the extreme weather cut our outreach short, but even then, the day brought two unexpected new members into our care. ❤️

🫏🫏 Two young donkeys were surrendered to us after their owner explained that he was no longer able to care for them.

Our 🌸In Her Honour🌸 campaign raised R680, and the rest of the food, collars, bowls and blankets distributed during the outreach was made possible through the generous donation from Ashton International College Benoni. We are incredibly grateful for both.

But there is so much more we want to do.

We want to return with more food, collars, better shelter materials, dewormers, vaccinations and veterinary care for the animals we meet.

🐾❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU TO Ashton International College Benoni Preschool❤️🐾

What an incredible morning we had at Ashton Junior College 🥹

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms, curious minds and the most caring little souls. The children were absolutely amazing! Their excitement, questions and genuine love for the animals made our visit so special. ❤️

And then we discovered their AMAZING donation drive! 😭🐾

They collected an incredible pile of goodies for our animals — food, bowls, blankets, leashes, doggy jackets… and we even spotted a little CAT TENT! 🤣🐱

Every single item will make a difference to an animal in our care — and to animals we help through our outreach work. ❤️

And of course, Dobby and Charlie had an absolute blast! Charlie was the perfect little gentleman, while Dobby decided that all that excitement was the perfect opportunity to go full hooligan. 😂🐕

Thank you to the children, teachers, parents and everyone who contributed to making this day so special.

Thank you for teaching your children that compassion isn’t just something we talk about — it’s something we DO. ❤️

🌸 IN HER HONOUR — A LITTLE REMINDER

We just wanted to remind you about our In Her Honour campaign. 🌸

This Women’s Month, we’re asking you to do something a little different.

Instead of flowers that fade, donate R80 in honour of an incredible woman in your life — and help us put food in the bowls of dogs who need it.

🐾✨ OUTREACH DAY IS ALMOST HERE! ✨🐴

The countdown is on! 🎉

We are so excited to be visiting Ashton International College Benoni on 5 August 2026 for a very special Outreach Day!

Our lovable rescue ambassador Dobby will be joining us… but he won’t be coming alone! 🤫🐾

👀 We’ve got a mystery friend tagging along… can you guess who it is?

We’ll be spending the day sharing the importance of kindness, compassion, responsible animal care, and giving learners the opportunity to meet some of our incredible rescue animals.

Every interaction helps inspire the next generation to make a difference for animals in need. ❤️

We can’t wait to meet all the wonderful learners and staff for a day filled with smiles, learning, wagging tails, and unforgettable memories!
