Went to visit Durban SPCA yesterday, it is heart breaking to see the amount of dogs there needing new homes as their owners just cannot afford to feed them in these hard times. Unfortunately the SPCA's feed room is nearly bare, they also need dog food urgently to be able to help these dogs. Please go and visit there, the dogs love having visitors and take a bag or two of food along for them.

Sometimes we get asked to look after strange pets, and organise transport. I did get some funny looks though with this one in the back of the bakkie.

6 Years ago I was asked to rescue two Border Collie type dogs from a location down the South Coast. We brought both dogs back to Animal Lodge where they were pampered and fed, until they were well enough to find loving homes, which we did. Unfortunately the one dogs owner has passed away so she has come back to us and needs to find a new home. She is a very well mannered dog, and gets on well with other dogs. She looks very different to this picture now though. If anyone would like to meet her please call us on 0836578767

One of my favourite pictures of Tictak. This was taken at one of our last dog shows at the Royal Show grounds. She obviously decided she needed a cuddle, which in itself is a little strange as she is a very independent dog, and especially does not like children very much. But look at her face she looks like she is smiling.
