This Mandela Day, we're asking you to help us give the Durbanville Cemetery bunnies a second chance.

Every rabbit rescued means one less bunny left to suffer. Every rabbit sterilised helps stop the heartbreaking cycle of abandonment and overpopulation. Every donation brings us one step closer to relocating these beautiful animals to the safety they deserve.

A Durbanville community is rallying to protect and relocate bunnies living in the local cemetery after reports of attacks, injuries and threats of culling. Volunteers are working to sterilise, rescue and rehome the animals.

This is why we do what we do. 🐰🤍

After being caught, sterilised, cared for, and given time to heal, these bunnies have finally been released into their safe new home at the sanctuary. Seeing them out on the grass, safe and free, makes every effort worth it!

They have settled in beautifully and have integrated so well with the existing colony at the farm. They now have space to run, graze, explore, and simply be bunnies without fear.

This is the future we are working towards for every bunny we can save.

This week, we managed to catch 17 bunnies who will all be sterilised next week before continuing their journey to safety.

This would not have been possible without the incredible support we have received! Thank you so much to everyone who has bought a raffle ticket, donated, shared our posts, or helped behind the scenes ❤️ Every contribution is making a real difference.

We are now very close to reaching our fundraising goal, but we only have about two weeks left!
