This Sunday it all comes together under one roof at Talliwags Wellness World.

🐾 IMPORTANT VACCINATION NOTICE 🐾

At Talliwags Wellness World, the health and safety of every dog in our care is our top priority.

We follow the South African Veterinary Association (SAVA) vaccination guidelines and therefore require ALL visiting dogs to be vaccinated against Leptospirosis.

Although Leptospirosis is considered a “non-core” vaccine, it is a real disease that does occur in parts of the Cape — especially during rainy periods where standing water may be present.

Many dogs visit parks, beaches, trails and outdoor areas where exposure risk exists. Because Talliwags is a shared wellness and social environment, we choose to take a proactive approach to protecting all of our dog visitors.

PLEASE NOTE:
• First-time Leptospirosis vaccinations require TWO injections
• Vaccines are given 3–4 weeks apart
• Dogs are considered protected only 2 weeks after the second injection

Please plan ahead before booking visits, workshops or courses.

If you are unsure whether your dog’s vaccination card includes Leptospirosis cover, please check with your veterinarian.

At Talliwags Wellness World, our indoor markets are carefully curated to support talented local makers, small businesses and genuinely beautiful handmade products.

From artisan matcha drinks and handmade shwe-shwe creations to stained glass art, baked treats and quirky dog-inspired gifts — every vendor has been handpicked to create a quality market experience.

No mass-produced plastic goods.
No chaotic flea market feeling.
Just creative local talent, good food and a laid-back atmosphere.

We’re also proud to support animal welfare through our DARG vendor, whose products help support rescue work in Hout Bay 🐾

Our next Pet First Aid Course is almost here.

This hands-on course is designed to give pet owners practical skills and confidence in emergency situations — from CPR and choking emergencies to bandaging, vital signs, and recognising when urgent veterinary care is needed.

Led by veterinary nurse Sr Liz, the course combines practical demonstrations, interactive learning, and real-world emergency preparation in a relaxed small-group setting.

Our Pet First Aid Course teaches practical, hands-on skills to help pet owners respond confidently in an emergency situation.

From CPR and bandaging to recognising warning signs and understanding vital parameters, this course is designed to give you real-world knowledge in a supportive and interactive environment.
