So I’ve been sitting with this idea for a while now, and I keep coming back to the same feeling: children need more ways to really connect with nature in meaningful ways.
They need to look up from a screen and notice the bird calling from the fence, the moth resting on the wall, the spider in the corner, the mushrooms popping up after the rain. They need someone to take their questions to heart and share the wonders of the natural world with them... in a way that says, “Look closer...there is a whole world here... and we are part of it!”
That is what I'm trying to build at Wild Ways Kids Academy :)
And I cannot do it alone.
So I’m looking for people who might want to help create self-paced online courses, with real-world opportunities, for children and teens over at the Wild Ways Kids Academy (which I can show you privately, as it's not live yet!)
I am looking for people who love backyard biology, exploring, birds, bats, eco-systems, tracks, feathers, frogs, insects, plants, soil, stories, wild places, small discoveries, big questions, and all the messy, wonderful things that make nature education feel real AND fun!
You DON'T need to be a formal teacher. If you are passionate and have a burning desire to inspire our young people, I would love to hear from you :)
Maybe you are a field guide, or an educator, maybe you work in conservation, or you are an avid birder, a gardener, a parent, an artist, a storyteller, a nature nerd, or someone who has spent years quietly learning from the wild and now feels ready to share some of that wonder.
If that is you, let's chat!!
Feel free to pop me a private message or email [email protected].
