⚠️ Weather Alert for Pet Parents ⚠️
Heavy rain, flooding, and extreme cold weather are expected over the next few days. While we prepare ourselves for these challenging conditions, it's important not to forget about our furry family members.
🐾 Bring pets indoors whenever possible.
🐾 Make sure they have a warm, dry place to sleep.
🐾 Keep them away from floodwater, fast-moving water, and flooded areas.
🐾 Ensure fresh food and water are always available.
🐾 Check on elderly, young, and short-haired pets regularly, as they are especially vulnerable to the cold.
🐾 Do not chain, tie or confine animals, so they may escape rising water or debris.
🐾 Move livestock to higher ground before flooding occurs and use open kraals in elevated, wind-proof areas.
