Rabies is a devastating disease, but it is also preventable. Once clinical signs appear, rabies is almost invariably fatal — which is why prevention matters so much.

Vaccinating your pets protects more than just them. Keeping dogs and cats up to date with their rabies vaccinations helps protect your family, your community, and other animals by reducing the opportunity for the virus to spread.

Even pets who spend most of their time indoors can potentially be exposed to rabies through contact with infected wildlife or other animals.

And if a vaccinated pet is exposed, it is still important to seek veterinary advice promptly.
If your pet's rabies vaccination isn't up to date, speak to your veterinarian about getting them protected.
