Why your dog's itchy and red skin isn't getting better yet you are using omega 3 for months.

1. Check if your dog actually needs this supplement. I use it in itchy dogs, senior pets, and performance animals mostly. If there are no issues or need for it, then dont supplement.

2. Ensure it is marine based and contains high EPA and DHA in its most natural, unprocessed form

3. Definitely no plant based omegas. Dogs have limited ability to convert plant based omegas into EPA and DHA. Cut out this conversion step for your dog and save yourself some money.

4. NO MORE PUMP BOTTLES. Dosage isn't always accurate, and quality degrades over time. I have seen dogs on the same bottle for 6 months 👀. Softgels that allow for correct dosing, and you can store this for longer without oxidation.

5. Dosage. It will not be the same for every dog, and the majority of my itchy dog patients are on much higher doses than indicated on the bottle. Please only increase dosage when by a qualified nutritionist or a vet.

6. Don't forget Vitamin E. Helps to prevent oxidation of the omega3. These 2 are besties.

I am doing a canine nutrition school series, follow so you dont miss out.

In my 10 years as a nutritionist, only 2 dogs showed better results ON kibble. The rest (hundreds) reduced or totally stopped itching.

There is no other way to make kibble, and when these ingredients that are processed in this way are eaten by an animal, not meant to eat it; inflammation rises.

Then you see the itchy skin, the flakes, the head shaking, the paw chewing come back.
Medication becomes the next option.

No one looks at the actual food and how that is creating more itchy skin, flakes, and head shaking.

The pattern I have noticed after 50 itchy dogs. Share this with other dog mums.

I can't friggin believe it! I have helped 50 dogs to feel comfy in their own skin again. But this also means 50 dog mums have been supported and know how to manage their dog's skin health at home with confidence.

If this sounds like your kinda place, then pull up a chair.

Here's the 3 common things I found occurring across these 50 dogs.
1. Excessive inflammation - I know i sound like a broken record by now with this inflammation talk, but ALL of these dogs have this to some degree.

2. Nutrient imbalances - also in ALL of these dogs and majority have deficits in omega3, zinc, B12, glutamine, vitamin E, and fibre.

3. Gut health and stool quality. - they all had p**p that wasn't healthy (even if their mum thought it was). Too much, too big, too light, to broken up, too soft, too hard.

What's your take on this? Can you believe all these dogs experience the same 3 things?

3. Vets2Pets fish oil - note this one needs to be used in 2ish weeks. Store in the fridge.
