Fuel means responding to cruelty complaints. It means reaching animals in need. It means collecting unwanted pets and transporting animals to safety. It means being there when animals need us most.

As fuel prices continue to rise, the pressure on organisations like ours grows with them.

How do we tell an Inspector to drive less when an animal is waiting for help? How do we postpone a collection of an unwanted pet because the fuel tank is running low? Truth is, we can't and never will.

Every trip our team makes is carefully planned. Every kilometre serves a purpose. Yet finding more than R16,000 each month for fuel alone is becoming an increasing challenge.
