Lumi, our little fluff-butt 🦊💛

We found Lumi on a corner of a street and he instantly ran up to us. He wanted nothing but love and care. We scooped him up and he immediately started purring 🥺 On closer inspection, we spotted his mouth was completely rotten, dribbling with puss and swelling up. We took him to the clinic where he stayed for the next 7 days and was treated for viral infections and unfortunately had half of his teeth removed. Despite it all, he never stopped purring and has totally stolen our hearts! 💕

Lumi was later collected by our wonderful friend .of.marrakech and taken to her colony, where he is monitored daily amongst the others. He was accepted in and is now part of a fluffy gang!

Grow big and strong, little Lumi 🙏

And huge thanks to .of.marrakech for helping us.

We might be completely mad, but we’ve just booked flights for our 7th mission, landing 11th July ✈️🐾

Truth is, our funds are at an all-time low and right now, we can’t actually afford this mission 😬 So much so, that we booked the flights without luggage… That will be a fun challenge!

If you’ve ever thought about supporting our work, this is the moment. Even £5 can help save a life.

We’re doing this because they need us…

Please help us make this mission possible ❤️ Link in bio.

12 cats have now been TNVR’d thanks to our latest “Project Yvonne” campaign 🐾

Yvonne, our incredible supporter, fully funded this neutering mission and because of her generosity, 12 cats can now begin a safer, healthier life on the streets of Marrakech.

These funds covered everything: operations, rabies vaccinations, transportation and post-op boarding at 💪🐾

We’re also grateful to .rouge.marrakech for their continued support.

Please help us return in July and continue this mission. The need is still huge and every donation makes a real difference. Link to donate in bio 🔗

Thank you, Yvonne - we couldn’t have done it without your support. 🙏❤️

We’re back from Marrakech, and in just 66 hours we carried out one of our most intense missions to date. We TNVR’d 12 cats across the square and the chicken market, treated urgent medical cases, hospitalised a severely unwell cat and supported dozens more through feeding and parasite treatment. Two pregnancies were also prevented, stopping more kittens from being born into inevitable suffering.

But the reality is, this is only a fraction of what’s needed.

The scale on the ground is overwhelming and despite everything we did, it never feels like enough. Right now, our funds are at their lowest point and that directly limits how much we can do next. We are planning to return in July, because we have to.

There is still time to make this next mission bigger, stronger and able to reach more animals who won’t survive without intervention.

TNVR works, but we cannot do it without support. Thank you to EVERYONE that made our 6th mission possible ❤️

Legend & Batman - sleep well, we’re sorry help came too late.

Some people believe that keeping cats indoors and not allowing them to roam is cruel. In some cases, such as with feral cats, that may be true.

But for most cats, an indoor life can be perfectly happy and fulfilling. What can be cruel is when owners do not provide enough time for play, enrichment, stimulation, or harness training.

A dedicated & responsible owner = a happy & safe cat ❤️

After a long wait, here is a little Missy update 🤍

Things have been very busy behind the scenes as we prepare for our 6th mission in just 2 weeks, all whilst working full time, travelling between two homes and looking after our own pets too. But Missy has been very much at the centre of it all.

Her appointment with went really well and we honestly cannot recommend them enough for anyone in or around London looking for a cat specialist clinic.

Missy has now been put on long term anti inflammatory medication, which she may need to stay on for the rest of her life, however long her forever is. For now, we are simply taking each day as it comes, focusing on helping her gain weight and build up her immunity.

The good news is that since arriving in the UK, Missy has gained nearly 400g already 🎉 She still has around 1kg to go until she reaches her ideal weight, but we are so proud of how far she has come. She is now also on specialist food to support her recovery and overall health.

As you have all seen many times already, she is absolutely adorable and we are so grateful to have her in our lives. Watching her slowly grow stronger has been incredibly special.

A huge thank you goes to our wonderful mum and dad for fostering her and taking such amazing care of her every single day. We could not do this without you 🤍🐾

Exactly a year ago today, we came back from our trip to Marrakech and Hearts4Cats was born! Just two months later, we returned with 60 parasite treatments, TNR plans and no connections. Just determination, love and a promise to help. One year on, we’ve achieved so much, but the reality is, there’s still so much more to do 💔

Next month, we head out on our 6th mission, with 15 cats already booked in for neutering and hundreds of kittens saved from being born into hardship.

And Missy… our very first rescue. The one who started it all. Her and her kittens are the reason this exists. She’s not just special, she’s our reminder of why we do this.

We made a promise to her and to every cat like her in Marrakech. A year later, we’re still showing up.

Hercules, Dobby, The Avengers, Hero and Missy’s kittens - this is all for you.

We didn’t want to write this, but we’ve been getting many questions about the kittens we rescued in January. Sadly, we don’t know what has happened to them. 💔

Before leaving Marrakech, we entrusted them to a local rescuer and paid for their care. At first we received updates, but soon there were repeated requests for money, and we later discovered through an Instagram story that one kitten had died. Shortly after, things escalated, we were blocked and lost all contact.

We don’t know what has happened to the five remaining kittens, but we truly hope they are safe and being cared for.

Situations like this are a painful reminder that when helping animals from thousands of miles away, trust doesn’t always work out.

Huge thank you to .of.marrakech who quietly and tirelessly cares for the cats of Marrakech every day. She is a true hero! ❤️

Unfortunately, there will be no further kitten updates.
