This is super interesting. They accept dogs from all over the world. I have 2 old girls that meet the criteria, and I have ordered the kits for them ๐ค
๐ฃ ๐๐ง๐ง๐๐ก๐ง๐๐ข๐ก ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐๐ต๐๐ป๐ฑ ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐: Cambridge Vet School is looking for dogs to help with IVDD research!
They especially need healthy senior Dachshunds, with the biggest need being dogs 10 years and older that have ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ had signs of IVDD.
Miniature Smooth-Haired Dachshunds are especially helpful, but other Dachshund varieties may also qualify. Dogs with a confirmed history of IVDD are still being accepted too.
Participation is simple and painless. It only involves a mouth swab. If your dog may fit the study, please consider helping this research and sharing with other Dachshund owners who may have an eligible dog.
A little effort from owners can make a big difference in improving what we know about IVDD in our breed ๐
