Hello my beautiful friends, I am afraid I have some sad news for you which may come as a shock.
At around midday today, I grew my special wings and crossed the rainbow bridge. Mum and dad held me tight and stroked me and told me how much they loved me as I passed away peacefully at home.
A little over a week ago I had scans that showed the cancer had come back in the other leg, which was very unexpected. I didn't want to tell you all because I didn't want you all to worry. I am sure you understand. I was feeling ok up until last night when I woke up panting and in pain, and it was then I knew my time was coming.
Born to be a racing greyhound, my life certainly began on the wrong foot. However, over half of my life I knew so much love from my family (and it felt awesome). You too have been part of my journey and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will miss our chats x
Please send love and healing thoughts to my brother Billy and sister Georgie (she will be pining for me). Despite the last ten months of my life, I truly believe I have been the luckiest hound, knowing such happiness! I'm kinda sad I just missed out on my fifth gotcha day anniversary though 😔
I want to leave you with a quote if I may (from Dr Seuss)... "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened". So true. What a beautiful life.
Much love, Barnaby xx
Ps. Make sure you look into the sky tonight and search for the brightest star.. That will be me 💫❤️
