Has anyone ever told you your position is "wrong" — heels down, sit up, stop gripping — and no matter how hard you try, your body just won't cooperate? 🐎

Here's something your trainer might not know: it might not be a "you" problem. It might be your saddle.

There's a deep hip flexor muscle called the psoas. It connects your lower spine to your femur, and it plays a massive role in how you sit, follow the motion, and absorb each stride. When it's relaxed and lengthened, your hips swing freely, your seat deepens, and everything feels fluid.

But when a saddle puts you in the wrong position — too much tilt, a seat that's too tight, balance that throws your body forward — your psoas braces. It tightens. And suddenly you're gripping, tipping, or perching no matter how hard you try not to.

We see this a lot. A rider comes in frustrated, convinced their body just doesn't work right on a horse. Nine times out of ten, the saddle is the problem. A proper fit evaluation — static check, then dynamic with you in the saddle — makes the real issue clear fast.

Your body isn't broken. Your saddle might just be working against you.

Why I choose Erreplus (and why the tree matters)

When you’re shopping for a saddle, its easy to get caught up in leather, blocks, and how pretty it looks.
