I had a lovely lady ask me yesterday ’what is that on your leg dear?’ … for context … I was wearing shorts & a nice shirt when I went on our nursing home visit as it was quite warm
We all then had a lovely chat about people who love to have artwork on them rather than hanging on a wall … God I love elderly people❣️

Sadly there will be no pet therapy visits this week due to the heat … remember your wet noses do not perspire so please don’t take them out on days like today … Diana loves the sunshine, but she will only enjoy it from inside the air conditioned house

It is with an extremely heavy heart that, due to an individual trolling me, I have made the difficult decision to end Diana’s visits with the Oncology patients at West Gippsland Healthcare Group. This decision has truly broken my heart & was NOT what I nor the majority of the wonderful patients or staff of the Oncology unit want. Maybe somewhere in the future we can give this much needed & wanted outside of the box therapy idea another shot but until then I would like to say thank you for your support.

When the handler is feeling out of sorts … the therapy dog kicks into action … this is what Pet Therapy is all about … the no judgement, the I understand how you are feeling, the I’ve got you just sit & breathe, the I’ll stay here till the feelings pass … sometimes life just gets overwhelming for even the strongest people …
