As lots of you know, we feed predominantly Pegasus Feeds here! I have been referred to as obsessive and a ‘feed nazi’ more than once 🤣. We balance all our feeds using FeedXL, and I’ve found the Pegasus range easy to work with in the way that it balances easily with our pasture and local hay 💜

Completely flooded and rained out 😭🌧️. Could everyone who is able bodied please park toward the front of the property rather than driving around to the tie up/arena area. Thankyou! We all know Eli loves his ‘bog’ area but it’s getting a little hard to manage until we have a driveway 🤣💜🙏🏻

Junior Stablehand Needed KRONKUP

Mornings - Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays plus some weekends. Early start preffered, 4 hour shift generally. Collecting horses, mucking out, leading from yards to paddocks and feeding. Possibility of more hours and riding for the right (experienced) applicant who stays long term. Busy agistment/riding school/ trainers yard/ rescue set up.

You must be;

⭐️RELIABLE - if you do not have your own transport please make sure your parents are genuinely on board.
⭐️FIT AND HEALTHY - this job involves a lot of walking, pushing a wheelbarrow, carrying feed buckets etc.
⭐️ A HORSE LOVER - we do not tolerate rough treatment or tantrums.
⭐️A HARD WORKER - able to stay motivated, work at a decent pace, not be on your phone, able to resist spending hours patting our very cute and insistent horses. And happy to get dirty!
⭐️KIND HEARTED - we have a range of clients who appreciate a sunny disposition, and confidentiality around clients is essential. No mean girl energy here 💜 we foster an inclusive, welcoming, family type environment.

Desirable;

⭐️Experienced with horses including big and young.
⭐️Ability to start early - around first light or even earlier is ideal.
⭐️Someone looking to work long term.
⭐️Own reliable transport.

Award wages and insured, not a cashie so ideally applicants from 15-19 but willing to chat to older if fast and experienced. Been unwell so need someone asap, previous applicants encouraged to message as I haven’t been organised enough to keep people’s details 🥲

A true legend. Whether you agree with his methods or not, he was one of the first to show that kind and non violent training methods can absolutely bring horses along, and that there is no need to effectively ‘break’ horses. He paved the way for so many trainers, made ‘space’ for different and kind methodologies, and truly made the world a less cruel place for horses and people alike. I first read ‘The Man who Listens to Horses’ at 10 years old and can honestly say it changed my life and way of thinking even back then. Rest easy Monty, if heaven exists I know there’s a line up of horses waiting to greet you 💕

The equestrian world has lost one of its true legends. 💔🐴

Monty Roberts has passed away at the age of 91, leaving behind a legacy that changed the lives of horses and the people who loved them.

Through his pioneering Join-Up® method, Monty showed the world that patience, trust and understanding could achieve far more than force. His work inspired generations of riders, trainers and horse owners, forever changing the way many of us think about our relationship with horses.

From his friendship with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to his influence on Thoroughbred racing and horse welfare across the globe, Monty’s impact reached every corner of the equestrian world.

Today, we remember not only an extraordinary horseman, but a man whose kindness and compassion gave a voice to the horse.

Awesome transformation/hoof rehab on a really cool little mare. Very long hard road and yes spent more than she’s ‘worth’ but hey 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️. Big thankyou to Sian at Great Southern Farrier Service for her time, extreme patience, expertise and for indulging my weird little whims and projects 🤣💜

Really nice chill morning at Albany Equestrian Centre for Southern Districts Dressage Club training day. A fun test for Eli and sweet Merlin, and 2 first time tests for Zoe and Emily. Thankyou as always to our lovely schoolmasters Saf and Chapstick for shepherding the first timers around with such kindness 💜

Great to have beautiful Bella and Atlas join us for some xc schooling and support for the younger riders! It doesn’t seem long ago that Saf was taking Bella out for her first test 🥲💜

Kristy and beautiful Hei Hei had a successful first ride, and Tayledras Grove Equestrian’s Y’Fandes couldn’t have been better for her first outing. This little horse (14.2 1/2) is shaping up to be a real gem and is for sale to the kindest of homes only 💜

Thankyou as always to the committee, volunteers, and wonderful kind judges for these days, and thankyou to our own team of helpers and parents.
