🐴 Andre and the other horses have a winter wish!

Would you consider helping us stock up on hay for the colder months? A large bale costs $55 and typically lasts our three horses about 2–3 days. They have hay available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so keeping their hay supply stocked is an ongoing need.

Every contribution helps, and several people giving a smaller amount can come together to cover a bale.

To donate by e-transfer, send any amount to [email protected]. Please include your family name in the memo so we can thank you.

Thank you for helping keep Andre and his herd fed and comfortable this winter! 🤎🐴

On March 9th, everything changed in a matter of minutes.

We will forever be grateful that every person and every animal was safe but the fire destroyed our garage and workroom, along with more than $70,000 worth of essential tools, equipment and farm supplies.

This wasn’t simply a building. It was an important part of how we cared for our animals, stored critical supplies and kept Fur-Ever Farm-Canada and Fur-Ever Able Dog Rescue running every day.

Now, we are finally ready to begin rebuilding for getting ready for winter but we still need some help getting there. ❤️

We have created a GoFundMe to help cover the remaining rebuilding costs and give our rescue and sanctuary the safe, functional workspace we desperately need.

If you’re able to donate, please know that every single dollar brings us one step closer. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this post and our fundraiser would also mean so much to us.

We have been through an incredibly difficult season, but we are still here—and with the support of our amazing community, we truly believe we can rebuild. 🐾

Thank you for continuing to stand beside us, our rescue animals and every animal who calls Fur-Ever Farm-Canada home.

🐷 On today’s episode of “Who’s at the Farm?” we’re introducing Penny!

Penny is our lovable Kunekune pig—and saying she’s highly food motivated might be an understatement! 😂

People absolutely adore Penny because she acts just like a dog. She comes when her name is called, loves a good belly rub, and is happiest when she gets to spend time with her favourite people. Penny is sweet, social, and full of personality. It’s nearly impossible not to fall in love with her! 💕🐽

🐴 This Morning on “Who’s at the Farm?” — Meet Gracie & Noise

Gracie is one of the youngest horses in our care and one of the sweetest horses you could ever meet. In the photos, she’s the horse with the larger white patch on her face, while her best friend, Noise, has a star on his forehead.

Despite their age difference, these two are completely inseparable. Gracie has a condition called kissing spines and was surrendered by her family because she could no longer be ridden—but here, her value has never depended on what she can do. She is deeply loved simply for who she is.

Gracie is a giant baby who adores attention, cuddles and rubs. Noise is like a sweet old man who wants Gracie’s attention—and everyone else’s, too! They are both extremely food-motivated, so snacks are always the quickest way to their hearts.

We feel incredibly lucky to care for two such beautiful, gentle and loving horses. Gracie and Noise truly are the perfect pair. ❤️

🐮 WHO STILL LIVES HERE? MEET NORMAN! 🐮

Norman is our adorable mini steer, and he has such a special story.

Norman’s mom is a show cow, and he was born on a property where the two of them lived together. Unfortunately, when their family had to sell the land, they needed to find loving homes for all their animals—and that’s how Norman found his way to us.

From the moment he arrived, Norman fit in perfectly with our cows. His very best friend is Martha, our beautiful white cow, but he loves spending his days with both of his girls, Martha and Daisy. The three of them make the sweetest little herd. 🤍

Norman was castrated, so he cannot father any calves. His only job now is to enjoy farm life, spend time with his girls and continue being the lovable little character we all adore.

We’re so grateful Norman found his forever home here. ❤️

🏡 WHO STILL LIVES HERE AT THE FARM? 🐴🐷🐐

Welcome to our newest series!

Over the next little while, we’re going to reintroduce you to all the incredible animals who still call our farm home—from our horses, pony and cows to our sheep, pigs, goats and emu.

Each one has a name, a unique personality and a special story. We’ll be sharing how they arrived, what makes them so lovable and what their daily care looks like.

There may have been many changes around here, but this farm is still filled with love, life and some very unforgettable characters. ❤️

Who would you like to meet first?

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO REBUILD ❤️🐾

Following the devastating fire and the loss of our garage, we received some insurance compensation. However, those funds had to be divided as part of the divorce, leaving us to rebuild the structure and replace all the tools, equipment and supplies that were destroyed.

Since April, we also haven’t been able to hold fundraising events or actively collect donations. Meanwhile, the cost of caring for the animals has continued, and we now have approximately $10,000 in outstanding bills.

We are currently grateful to receive help in two ways:

🛠️ Donations of tools and equipment to help us rebuild
❤️ Monetary donations to help with our outstanding animal-care bills and replacement costs

E-transfer: [email protected]
Please message us directly to arrange a tool donation.

We know we will eventually get through this, but rebuilding while caring for the animals will take time, effort and community support. Even a $5 donation or a share of this post can make a meaningful difference.

A few months ago, I made one of the hardest videos I’ve ever had to make. I told you we might have to close the rescues and leave the farm. At the time, I truly believed it.

When my marriage ended and I was suddenly facing the possibility of losing the place we love. I was trying to figure out how to care for my children, our animals, and the rescues while everything around us was changing.

We slowly found homes for some of our animals and prepared to downsize. My parents stood beside us through every step. They brought in the wonderful team at Worth Organizing, who went through every single item with me, Aiden, and Bryn. Together, we decided what to keep and what to donate. We donated probably 70% of our belongings. It was heartbreaking, but they helped us feel comfortable and cared for during such an uncertain time.

I also want to thank Ross Hughes and his team. The real estate market is difficult, and after months of showings, we knew how much work they had put in. Ross was patient, flexible, compassionate, and kind throughout it all. I’m so grateful he was there to help us.

Then, after many conversations with my parents, we found a way to keep the farm. The home is now mine and the kids’, and I still find it hard to believe we get to say that. ❤️

Aiden had already begun grieving the farm. He told me it was okay to sell because he had started to let that part of his life go. Being able to tell him we were staying meant everything. Bryn gets to stay with the birds and emus she loves, and both of my kids get to keep their home.

We still have our goats, chickens, emus, pigs, three horses, one pony, and three cows. Aiden even hopes to carry this place forward one day.

The dog rescue and the farm rescue are back up and running. We’re ready to fundraise again and keep making a difference. Thank you to my parents, our closest friends, Worth Organizing, Ross and his team, and everyone who helped us through the hardest months. You gave us comfort when we needed it most—and now we get to keep living this dream. 🐾Want to donate to this dream…
