Our patient Kuma was presented with difficulty urinating and discomfort. Further diagnostic testing revealed a severe bacterial infection, impaired kidney values. Urinalysis also showed significant amounts of blood, bacteria, and presence of calcium oxalate crystals, while radiographs confirmed a severely distended urinary bladder.
Due to the severity of the condition, immediate urinary catheterization was performed to relieve the obstruction, restore urine flow, and help prevent further complications.
The patient is currently confined at our clinic for intensive treatment and close monitoring. We are hopeful for a positive recovery and possible discharge within the coming days.
Early recognition of urinary problems can be life-saving. If your pet is straining to urinate, producing little to no urine, or showing signs of discomfort, seek veterinary attention immediately.
Wishing our Kuma a smooth and speedy recovery! ๐๐พ
