The Cat Garden Rescue (TCGR) is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose objective is to spay/neuter homeless cats, and place adoptable ones in loving homes. We trap, neuter, and return cats who choose residency at people’s homes, gardens, parks, schools, and on the streets. Our goal is to help our communities in reducing cat population, teach compassion, educate, and offer solution

s to unwanted cat presence in the Richmond, San Pablo, El Sobrante, Rodeo, Hercules and Pinole areas. We are not able to accept owner surrenders as we are a small, non-profit organization without a designated facility.

Another reminder to all pet parents in West Contra Costa

Joybound will be providing free pet vaccinations, microchips, and pet food in Richmond this weekend on Saturday, June 13. Services are offered on a first-come first-served basis beginning at 8 AM, but space fills up quickly, so we advise clients to arrive early.
This free community event is made possible through funding from and being held in partnership with Contra Costa Animal Services and the City of Richmond, CA. These monthly clinics are part of our commitment to keep pets *with* the families who love them, and *out* of crowded shelters.

So cute!

There is a cute little 3-4 month old Terrier mix that needs a lifelong home. He is neutered, current on dewormer and vaccinations, crate trained and sweet. Not barky, good natured and good with kids, dogs and cats. This is him in a cat bed.

6 more cats went for spay/neuter today at Contra Costa Animal Services. We are grateful for the appts. These are all from a new site. We still have 4 more to trap. We truly believe in TNR (trap neuter and return) it works! Next year there should be no more kittens at this trailer park.

We did it again! Adoption 3 brothers and sister together going to a wonderful family in Orinda. We want to thank Debbie to have understood that they all needed each other. A very bonded little kitten family. Vladimir orange, Stefan Mackerel and Victoria the little gray and white have found a great human family. Thank you Jade and Veronica to have fostered them !

We started a new TNR job at a trailer park in San Pablo. A lady named Patricia called us for help. Shes been feeding cats there for a few years This morning we trapped 6 cats and 2 kittens. We have kitten traps set for his sibilings. Hopefully we have all the adults now.They will go for spay/neuter on Monday at Contra Costa Animal Services. We are grateful they gave us 6 slots. We truly believe in TNR (trap neuter&release) it works!

These 2 Torties of 5 months were also removed from the liquor store where the Siamese mama and her 5 new born were residing. Those 2 super nice one will go to Cat Town next week. They are a riot!

Here is a wonderful update on Bazooka aka Petey. The top notch family who adopted him, took him to an eye specialist who said that his eye lid could be operated on and that it was going to be successful. He still is healing but looks amazing. We want to thank Erin and her family to have invested the money and time into Petey . He went from being tossed out of a car at a gas station to becoming best friends with 3 dogs and 2 kids in a great home. He lucked out because he simply deserves the best. Thank you Erin.
