What a great way to spend the evening! A really interesting and interactive talk hosted by Equus Vets.

There was lots of discussion around common lameness issues, and I always find these kinds of evenings so valuable. I’ll take any opportunity to keep learning and expand my knowledge!

Everything I learn can be brought back to saddle fitting in some way. It all helps me look at the whole horse, understand the bigger picture, and make the best possible decisions for both my clients and their horses🐴

✨A very exciting moment for me and my business! ✨

I am officially fully qualified with the International Academy of Saddle Fitters!!

The last few months have involved so much hard work, dedication, and learning, and I am incredibly proud of myself for turning this dream into a reality.

A huge thank you to my lovely husband for all of his patience and support throughout this journey — I truly couldn’t have done it without you ❤️

And thank you to all of my amazing case studies. You trusted me, supported me, and helped me grow in both experience and knowledge, and I am so grateful for every single one of you.

I’m beyond excited to officially begin my journey as a saddle fitter and can’t wait to meet all of my future clients and their wonderful horses! 🐎

🐴✨ Saddle fitting day with a superstar! ✨🐴

Today I met up with Minnie and her lovely owner Cath to take a look at her two saddles 🐎
I have to say… Minnie has come on leaps and bounds since I last saw her and was looking absolutely FABULOUS 😍👏

We had a great chat about gait and how movement can affect saddle fit.

The truth is—no horse is perfectly symmetrical, and by really looking at how they move, we can make better choices to help them feel comfortable and perform at their best 💡

Every horse is unique, and understanding their way of going can make a huge difference to both comfort and performance 🏇✨

✨ The importance of a saddle reflock & safety-check ✨

A saddle reflock is a completely separate service from a saddle fit—but just as important for your horse’s comfort and performance.

Today I had the pleasure of carrying out a full reflock and safety check on this saddle, and the difference is incredible! It’s something both horse and rider will definitely appreciate 😊

Here’s why reflocking matters:
🥕Over time, the flocking can “ball up” (as seen in today’s photo)
🥕This creates an uneven surface and texture
🥕Uneven flocking can lead to pressure points and discomfort, often affecting behaviour and performance
🥕Saddles should be reflocked every 1–2 years
🥕Regular professional checks help keep your horse happy, comfortable, and performing at their best!

⭐️ I’m fully qualified with IASF to carry out saddle safety checks, tree and rivet inspections, full reflocks, and flock adjustments

✨ Introducing my new business journey ✨

Hi everyone, I’m Izzy 👋

I’m so excited to be starting my new journey in saddle fitting and wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.

A little about me:
I’ve owned horses my whole life, so they have always been a huge part of me. I understand the importance of finding trusted equine professionals who will support you and your horse through all the ups and downs of the equine world!

I’m passionate about working with horses and their owners to help improve saddle fit, horse and rider comfort, and ultimately improve the horse’s longevity!

⭐️ I’m currently training with the International Academy of Saddle Fitters, which is globally recognised, accredited by LANTRA and Ofqual, and approved by UKRS and the Equine Fitters Council

⭐️I’m already fully qualified in flocking and saddle adjustments

⭐️At the moment I am completing my case studies as I work towards finishing my qualification!

I’d love for you to follow along and support me on this journey as I continue learning, growing, and meeting more lovely horses and owners along the way 🐴
