We’re fully donation-funded—offering safety, love, and a second chance. Hope and Hooves Rescue & Sanctuary is a nonprofit safe haven for farm animals in need—especially those often overlooked, like goats, pigs, sheep, chickens, rabbits, and more. Our mission is to rescue animals from the auction pipeline, neglect, abandonment, and other situations where their safety and well-being are at risk. Eve

ry animal we welcome receives a loving home where they are respected, cared for, and never exploited again. Located in Perry County, we believe every life matters—no matter how small. Through rescue, education, and community support, we’re building a more compassionate world one life at a time. Follow us to meet our residents, hear their stories, and learn how you can join our mission.

A question I get quite often is, “I can’t donate. How else can I help?”

And honestly, there are SO many ways!

Our page is monetized, which means every like, reaction, comment, and share helps support the animals here at the sanctuary.
Even something as simple as watching a video all the way to the end makes a difference. Instead of scrolling past, leave us a quick comment. It doesn’t have to be anything profound — tell us what you’re having for dinner, what the weather is like where you are, or what your favorite part of the video was.
The simplest interactions help get our content seen by more people, and that ultimately helps the animals here.

Another HUGE way you can help is through My Giving Circle.
You can vote for Hope & Hooves Rescue & Sanctuary once every single day, and it is completely FREE!
The last time I posted about My Giving Circle, we had around 2,000 followers. Now, with the amazing community we have built, imagine what could happen if everyone took just a few seconds each day to cast one free vote for us.
Every vote moves us higher on the list and gets us closer to the opportunity to receive grant funding for the sanctuary.

So if you’ve ever thought, “I wish I could help, but I can’t donate,” please know that YOU can still make a difference.

Watch. Like. Comment. Share. Vote.
It may seem like something small, but when our entire community does it together, those small things can make a HUGE difference for the animals.

Cast your FREE vote for us on My Giving Circle here: https://mygivingcircle.org/hope-and-hooves-rescue-and-sanctuary/vote

Thank you for supporting Hope & Hooves in all the ways you do.❤️❤️

As I’ve mentioned before, we’ve been doing more frequent nighttime checks on everyone lately, which means I’ve been getting to see a lot of our animals sleeping — something I don’t normally get to catch them doing.

And honestly, it’s the cutest thing ever.

I walked in tonight to find all of our ponies laying together, completely relaxed and fast asleep. Just a little midnight pony pile.

Good night from the pony crew.🩷💜🩵💙

Hi everyone!

I hope you’re all having a great week so far!

I know things have been a little quiet over here lately. Things have just been really busy, and the weather has been absolutely awful. If it’s not 90°, it’s raining, and if it’s not 90° or raining, we’ve been dealing with some pretty nasty storms.
On top of that, someone local in our community shared yesterday that one of their 500 pound steers was attacked by some sort of predator during the night. They are very close by, so we’re taking some extra precautions and I’ve been doing more frequent checks on all of the animals, especially throughout the night.
We’re also less than four weeks away from our big event, and construction kicks off this weekend, so needless to say, we have A LOT going on around here! I apologize if you’ve noticed that there haven’t been as many posts lately. We’re doing our best to keep up with everything behind the scenes.
Hopefully things will slow down soon and we can get back to our normal posting schedule!

But for now, please enjoy this picture of our Sunny. 🥹
During one of my late-night checks, this is how I found her sleeping. She woke up, looked at me, and gave me that little smile like, “Don’t worry, all good here, Mom.”
Her smile always makes me smile. ❤️

Hi everyone!

With construction finally starting next weekend, we decided to get a head start on our new bunny barn!

We are nowhere near done yet. We’ll be adding a “second level” with a ramp, along with a bunch of other things to make this a fun and comfortable space for our boys. (I’ll put a cute inspiration picture in the comments!)
But right now, our boys desperately need new toys and enrichment!
If you’d like to be an angel sponsor for one of our boys and help spoil them with some toys, treats, beds, or little houses, I know Bumper, Snowball, Spike & Bruno would be SO grateful.

You can find all sorts of things for our boys on our Amazon & Chewy wish lists! 💙

Maddox is HOME! 💙

We got in very late last night and tucked Maddox into bed in his stall for the night. He made the ride home so well and, most importantly, had no additional bleeding!
He still needs antibiotics twice a day for the next week and regular temperature checks, but he is SO happy to be home and back with all of his friends. Everyone was very happy to have him back, and Maddox was especially happy to be OFF stall rest!

Our vet’s office did the absolute best they could to help us with the cost of his emergency care, and we are so incredibly grateful. As a relatively small rescue, we were honestly worried we were going to be hit with a $1,000+ bill.
Instead, Maddox’s entire emergency care came to just $225.24.
We’ve received $95 toward his care so far, which means just $130 more in donations will bring Maddox’s care completely up to date and paid in full!
If you’d like to help us finish covering Maddox’s care, all donation links can be found in the comments below.

And finally, THANK YOU. To everyone who followed along, prayed for him during those very scary moments, kept him in your thoughts, and donated toward his care — we are so unbelievably grateful.
We are incredibly thankful for this community and for everyone who has been rooting for our boy. 💙

Welcome home, Maddox.
