When Levi said he wanted a father-and-son adventure, there was only one answer: let’s go.
Last night, we packed up and headed into the darkness toward the Ozarks, chasing nothing more than time together and whatever nature decided to put in our path. We rolled in just before 1 a.m., but the journey itself was already worth every mile.
Along the way, we spotted 11 deer, 2 opossums, an enormous bullfrog (great eye, Levi 👈🏻), a gray fox, and a red fox. Every sighting brought the same excitement—pointing, laughing, and sharing those little moments that somehow become the memories you never forget.
In a world that moves way too fast, there’s something special about slowing down and seeing it through your child’s eyes. No screens. No schedules. Just a father and son exploring back roads, watching wildlife, and reconnecting with the natural world together.
These are the moments that matter. The ones that build bonds, create stories, and remind us that some of life’s greatest adventures aren’t found in destinations—they’re found in the time we spend with the people we love most.
We’ve barely begun this journey, but it’s already been everything I hoped it would be. Here’s to the next few days of making memories, exploring God’s creation, and sharing experiences that will last a lifetime.
Let’s see what kind of trouble and adventure we can find next, buddy. ❤️🌲🦌
