🐾 Dogs have a paw preference

In a similar way to people being left or right handed, dogs often favour one paw.

A fun (non scientific!) way to test this is to place a toy or a treat in front of your dog but just out of their reach and see which paw they use first to reach out to it. You may want to do this a few times.

According to the AKC, 68-78% of dogs show a preference.

Good morning!

This morning I decided to walk my dogs separately - it’s good for them to have some individual time instead of always being walked together, especially Swift and Flit who are mum and daughter.

And it means I can do a spot of loose lead and calmness training - easier to do with just one dog!

Only drawback is I had to do 3 walks so now I’m looking forward to a sit down and some breakfast 🤔🤣
