Pionus Baby update! 08/22/2026

Great News! Proven pair of Blue Heads are sitting hard in the next box. ETA 30 days or less. If you are NOT on our waiting list for a Blue Headed Baby. Now would be the time. It is FREE to be on our wait list.

Dusky's: The older pair are nesting Get one before they are ALL GONE! Forever! Unless our younger pairs figure it out.
Even if our younger pairs learn and breed. Unless the import laws change. They will be GONE forever from the USA!!

Maxis; Nesting but no one is on eggs.

White Capped; Last clutch did not hatch.

Folks, I can't do this forever! Getting up at 3 AM going to the airport is grueling. There are real Pirates of the Caribbean down here that we have to deal with at Air Cargo, lol. Not sure when I will retire, maybe in a year or two. Who will breed & train these birds?

Pionus Baby update! 06/27/2026
Hand Over Hand Speed Training!

UPDATE: There is still one baby that is still available.
Now taking a deposits for it. ETA take home for this clutch of babies will be end of August 31 to 1st week of September. Gender unknown at this time, plenty of time to prepare for baby's arrival. This baby will be offered, the first to call gets it.

This has been an extremely crazy year with weather changes. Hot triple digits.

Maxi's & White capped:
Looks like no hatch this round of eggs TBD?

Dusky Pionus:
They will lay very late in the breeding season but do not expect many, IMO. ETA December.

Blue Headed:
Nesting TBD.

Great News!

Pionus Bronze Winged:
4 live babies just pulled & leg banded. We will be calling those on our BW wait list in a few days. Please stand by. If you are not called, Please be patient for the next available clutch.

Pionus White Capped:
Haven't checked yet but I pretty sure there are babies. Will check later .

Pionus Maximilian:
Pretty sure one or two but will not check on this young femal .

Pionus Dusky young pair:
Female in the box. 1st time. They may get it right this year. TBD.
